Week 2 Term 2 29th April 2019
Good afternoon Parents, Guardians and Students,
Today and tomorrow the College will be
hosting the annual Alphabet Ark program for interested families in the community. Alphabet Ark aims to create an activity for each letter of the alphabet and allows prospective prep students and their parents to enjoy a positive experience with staff of Henderson College, in the hope that they will consider Henderson College as an education setting for their child. A strong Prep intact ensures a strong and stable future for the College.
Enrolments are now being taken for next year, 2020, so if you have family or friends interested in fi nding out more about the school then please encourage them to contact us.
I hope your week is full of joy and hope.
Kind RegardsSandra FerryPrincipal.

Woolworths Earn & LearnThis year we will be par-ticipating in the Wool-worths Earn & Learn program. Through this program we will be able to get new educa-tional resources for our school– and all we need you to do is shop for your groceries at Wool-worths.
From Wednesday 1st May to Tuesday 25th June or while stock lasts, we are collecting Woolworths Earn & Learn Stickers. You will get one Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker for every $10 spent (ex-cluding liquor, tobacco and gift cards). Place the Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker onto a Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker Sheet and when it’s complete, the
Sticker Sheet can be dropped into the Col-lection Box here at the school or at your local Woolworths.
At the end of the pro-motion, we’ll be able to get some great new equipment. The range is extensive and of-fers lots of items ideal for our students – in-cluding resources for Maths, English, Science and some fantastic fun supplies for Arts & Craft, Sport and for our library. Attached to the newsletter is a sticker sheet for all your stickers!
A Message from our Student Welfare Offi cer
Today I am lucky enough to be taking the individual children’s photos for Alphabet Ark. It is a great job, I love seeing all the excited little faces as they come through to get their photos taken. Little people are amazing and we are fortunate that we can have Alphabet Ark at our school where we get to meet all these beautiful kids. I hope you all have a great week.

ANZAC DAYSome of our classes spent time learning about and preparing for ANZAC Day - these red poppies in Miss Thompson’s class look beautiful.
