2017-18 Theme
Verse: I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth. 3 John 1:4
(ESV)
________ ________________________________________________________________
Principal’s Notes:
The living water found in the sacrament of Baptism provides even more life than the physical, earthly water that we need to live here on Earth. Mr. LeBlanc shared the importance of that living water that Jesus provides through the story of the woman at the well. We also recognized September and October baptism birthdays today, Wednesday, October 18. May we continue, as God’s children, to walk in the truth of His Word! Chapel Offerings – 2nd Quarter
Chapel offerings for the 2nd Quarter have been designated for “natural disasters”. Many people
around the world have been affected in the past months, so this will be an opportunity for us to
serve them and share our blessings with those in need. We have chosen to focus on the people
affected by the hurricane in the Dominican Republic. Ms. Groth shared some information after
the chapel service today, Wednesday, October 18, 2017 concerning this mission project. Please
look below for a forward to some special ‘dress-down’ day to help in this cause.
ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, STUDENTS AND FACULTY/STAFF MAY WEAR TENNIS SHOES TO SCHOOL FOR TENNIS SHOE DAY BY PLACING $1.00 IN THE OFFERING PLATE. THIS OFFERING WILL BE DESIGNATED FOR 2ND QUARTER MISSIONS AS LISTED ABOVE. THANKS.
• When the Tuesday volunteer program was up and running it was a great blessing to the faculty. It involved copying, cutting things out, etc. It was something that was really appreciated. If you are interested, please let us know. Thanks.

The LSAL Senior Tournament will be held at Faith on Monday, October 23rd! Faith and St. John will play the 1st match at 4:15PM. Following that match the winner will play Atonement! Matches will be best 2 out of 3, 25-point games; 15-points for the third game if necessary; a team must win by two points. We are asking each team to supply a line judge. Whenever possible these judges will be used in games in which their team is not playing. THE ALS SR.
