Wayne Alexander Currie, after a strong fight with leukemia, passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Thursday, October 4th, 2007 at the age of 52 years.
Beloved husband of Susan of Carling.
Loving father of Suzanne Carlton of Parry Sound; Karen, Stephen and Thomas Currie all at home.
Loving Grandpa of Alyssa Bauer.
Dear son of Catherine and the late Wilfred Currie.
Brother of Wanda Currie of Penhold, Alberta; Elaine Kirkham and her husband Stanley of Parry Sound.
Fondly remembered by his nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will take place at 1 P.M. on Sunday, October 14th at RCL Branch 117, 30 Mary Street, Parry Sound.
Cremation has taken place.

77 yearswho passed away suddenly at the Sudbury Regional
Hospital - St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Wednesday, October 3, 2007.
Loving son of Thomas and Edith Brown (both predeceased).
Dear uncle of Ken Austin (wife Marie) of London, ON.; Cindy Herard (late husband Bob) of Port Dover; Scott Austin (wife Rhonda) of Capreol; Glen of Hanmer and Keith Austin (wife Lynn) of Capreol.
Predeceased by his sister Marnie (surviving husband Glen Austin of Hanmer).
Ken was born in Parry Sound on September 29th, 1930 and later became a resident of Capreol.
From 1950-1975, he was a member of the Canadian Forces Navy (Petty Officer 2nd Class).
After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a security guard at the Data Centre in Sudbury for several years.
Ken was a proud and active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 179 in Capreol.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium.The interment of his ashes will take place in Parry
Sound at a later date.Donations to the Northern Cancer Research
Foundation would be greatly appreciated.Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral
Home.

PETEr EDmuND SCHNurrPeter Edmund Schnurr, son of the late
Alan and Terry Schnurr of Parry Sound, died suddenly on October 2, 2007 in San Jose, Costa Rica. Peter retired to Costa Rica in 2004 after a 3-year stay in West Palm Beach Florida.
Father of Jeff (Chantal Laurin), Elizabeth (Dave Martin), Michelle (Jeff Adams) and Chris Gies.
Brother of Michael (Gay), Ed (Julie), Kelly (Marlen) and Paul (Donna).
Loving grandfather to Erika and Justin, Connor, Victoria and Katie, Keegan, Taryn and Aislin, and many nephews and nieces.
Peter was born in Parry Sound on December 28, 1948, worked for Ontario Hydro and eventually entered the Real Estate industry where he spent most of his working career.
Peter’s zeal for entrepreneurship and enjoyment of life was obvious to all who met him. He will be sadly missed by his loving family.
Friends will be received at the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (746-5855) on Thursday, October 11th, 2007 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Church on Friday, October 12th at 11 a.m.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the St. Peter the Apostle Church, Parry Sound or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
