MLK DAY OF SERVICE COLLEGIATE CHALLENGE The Tallahassee Community College Department of Campus and Civic Engagement will be hosting TCC’s first MLK Day of Service Collegiate Challenge event on January 20th, 2014. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to serve their neighbors and communities. The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems. This event will also provide your organization the opportunity to help out in the community! Sign up here! (Each member will need to sign-up individually.) Breakfast will be provided at 8:00am for volunteers and at 9:00am, volunteering will begin at each of the eight TCC Community Partner Agencies to complete a service project. Volunteers will receive lunch, t-shirts, and a closing reflection session. If you have any questions, please contact Ryan Rogers at [email protected].
