WeddingsLydiard Park is a beautiful Grade II listed estate and boasts the stunning Grade I listed Lydiard House and St Mary’s Church within its 260 acres of historic parkland. Located on the western edge of Swindon, the estate offers a spectacular venue for your special day. From small, intimate wedding ceremonies to receptions with up to 90 guests, The Lydiard House offers the ultimate stately home backdrop.
Both of our licensed ceremony rooms are located within the historic house, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere for you and your guests. The stunning Walled Garden, historic house and picturesque landscape of Lydiard Park offer a magnificent backdrop for your photographs.
The Lydiard House prides itself on our high level of client service. All wedding packages are designed bespoke, so you can be sure that your wedding will be the perfect celebration of your love for one another.

Church Wedding Service
The Lydiard House is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships within the stunning Grade I listed Lydiard House. We also host naming ceremonies and renewal of vows.
The Bolingbroke Suite can accommodate up to 70 guests. The Bolingbroke is located on the first floor of the historic house and offers stunning views across the main lawn and ornamental lake of Lydiard Park. We regret that there is currently no lift access to the first floor.
The Main Hall of Lydiard House can accommodate up to 55 guests. The Hall is built in a neo-Palladian style with an emphasis on symmetry and proportion, and the space gives a wonderful sense of grandeur and magnificence.
When planning a civil ceremony at The Lydiard House, it is your responsibility to contact Swindon Register Office directly on 01793 522738 to discuss available dates, times and fees. Please note that Registrar fees are charged separately and paid to the Register Office. Fees are not included in our ceremony room pricing.
If you and your partner would like a traditional church wedding service, St Mary’s Church, Lydiard Tregoze is located on the estate, just behind Lydiard House. Marriage services are normally available to couples where at least one partner lives within the parish or has a legal connection to the church. However, other applications can sometimes be accepted.

Car parking charges apply at Lydiard Park. An optional car parking buyout is available to purchase for guests.

Our recently refurbished Luxborough Suite is the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast and reception. The room benefits from lots of natural light, and also has a dance floor and private patio.
The Luxborough Suite can accommodate up to 80 guests with a three course meal and top table. If you would prefer a more informal wedding breakfast, we are able to cater for up to 90 guests with a barbeque or buffet. Up to 100 guests can be accommodated for an evening reception with a finger buffet.
On your wedding day, The Luxborough Suite will be dressed with white table linen, Chiavari chairs, crockery, and glassware. Still or sparkling water is also provided on all tables.
Here at The Lydiard House, we have a excellent and varied wine list. Drinks packages can be tailored to suit your budget and we have many options available.
Packages start at £15 per person:
• Bucks Fizz arrival drink• Half a bottle of house wine (red, white, rose) per person on tables • Glass of Prosecco for the toast
Soft drink options are also available.
We also offer a delicious range of canapés to accompany your celebratory drinks.
Did you know, it’s referred to as ‘breakfast’, as the couple are starting a new day together from the moment of their marriage, whatever time of the day that happens to be. The wedding feast is their first meal as newlyweds. Traditionally, couples used to fast from the night before their wedding, only breaking the fast after their vows.
We are always honoured to prepare such a significant meal for our couples. From barbeques, to hot and cold finger buffets and formal three course dinners, our unique menu options are sure to delight everyone. All of our menus are based on fresh local produce and high quality ingredients handpicked by our head chef.

Included in the cost of your wedding at The Lydiard House is a two-night stay in our spacious Bridal Suite, and two guest bedrooms for a one-night stay. All accommodation is located in our modern annexe.
Overnight guests can enjoy our delicious breakfast in the morning, featuring locally produced Wiltshire sausages, smoked back bacon, eggs, and continental options. A takeaway option is also available when pre-booked.
If your guests would like to stay at The Lydiard House, we can hold an allocation for your party. All of our comfortable 36 bedrooms are en-suite and provide tea and coffee making facilities, TV, plus complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the venue.
