FADE IN:

INT. DARK ROOM

INDRID COLD is sitting on a wooden chair in a very dark room with a small amount of

light coming from above him. Indrid is very tall and thin. He's wearing a black shirt with ablack suit. The shirt's collar is sticking up. His nose and mouth are covered with a blackhandkerchief. He's wearing black sunglasses and a black fedora.

Next to Indrid is a small table with an old phone sitting on top of it. The receiver is off the

hook.

HIDEO (V. O.)(from phone)

I'm very sorry, sir. We're not sure

what happened. All of the data waserased after the the power came backon. You'll be wanting your investment

back, I'm sure.

Indrid has two voices that he shifts between while he talks. One is a slightly high pitchedand the other is slightly low pitched. The voices briefly overlap when he shifts between

them which makes it sound like two voices are talking in unison.

INDRIDWere the detectives able to help

at all?


Not really, no. Do you want me topay them anyways?

INDRIDDon't worry about that. I'll meet

with them soon enough and when

I do they'll get payment.


What about your investment, sir?

INDRID



I have no need for the money. Youmay keep it.

(pauses)Thank you for all your team's hard workHideo Mazda. I'm very pleased with the

outcome of your video game development.

HIDEO (V. O.)

(from phone)Outcome? What outcome? It's all gone.

We produced nothing.

Indrid picks up the receiver.

INDRID

I disagree.

HIDEO (V. O.)

(from phone)But--

INDRID

Good bye Hideo Mazda.

Indrid hangs up the phone and pauses for a moment then snaps his fingers.

The light from above goes out throwing the room into darkness. Indrid's glowing redeyes are the only thing that's visible. They separate and float away.

CUT TO:

INT. DRAKE'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

Smolder and Drake sit asleep on the couch. Scullery sits on the couch watching TV.Alan sits on the coffee table. Scullery is holding the remote control for the TV.

TV (O. S.)(from TV)

Closed captioning provided by...(yelling)

Scissors!

ALAN



Change.

Scullery changes the channel.

STEFAN (O. S.)

(from TV)--but Jenny, I've changed! I'm nota crazy gorrilla monkey man anymore.

JENNY (O. S.)

(from TV)But how do I know that, Stefan? You could

be hiding in a laundry basket at this verymoment.

STEFAN (O. S.)(from TV)

Listen to yourself! Your not making any

sense. You know laundry baskets don'texist anymore. The military wiped themout after they starting eating people.

JENNY (O. S.)(from TV)

The military also wiped out my memorywhen I was vacationing in Antarctica. I

may have loved you before but how couldI know now.

STEFAN (O. S.)

(from TV)Because Jenny... I'm your evil robot twin

from beyond the grave.

ALAN

Change.

Scullery changes the channel.

SCULLERY

I never realized how bizarre soapoperas were.



ALANI know.

SCULLERYIt sort of scares me that I was actually

able to relate to the characters.

TV (O. S.)

---and you can have this entirekitchen for absolutely nothing...

(pauses)Wait, that doesn't sound right.

Smolder and Drake start to wake up. Scullery mutes the TV.

ALANWhat happened?

DRAKE(groggily)

Smolder went all Matrix and kickedthe ass of the guy who's been trying

to kill me inside my head when I'm asleep.

SCULLERYHuh?

SMOLDER

(groggily)Let's discuss this over a nice game

of Candyland Vs. Monopoly.

FADE OUT:FADE IN

Smolder, Scullery, and Drake are in the middle of a game of Candy Land Vs. Monopoly.

Alan is the Banker.

Note: Candy Land Vs. Monopoly is a bizarre mixture of Candy Land, Monopoly,elements of Risk, chess pieces, and Clue. The characters are basically making it up as

they go along.

Smolder rolls the die and moves his chess piece forward 4 spaces on the monopoly



board. He picks up a Clue card from the community chest pile.

SMOLDERIt wasn't really a guy.

(then)

I got the revolver. That's the secondassassin weapon I've got.

Scullery rolls the die and moves her chess piece forward 3 spaces on the monopolyboard. She pays Alan $240.

SCULLERY

Then what was it?(then)

I'm almost outta money.

SMOLDERIt was something that Engelsikarios

sent after Drake.

Drake picks up a Candy Land card and moves his chess piece forward 2 spaces on theCandy Land board. He picks up a Clue card from the community chest pile.

DRAKE

Probably because I betrayed them.(then)

Ah, my first assassin. Miss Scarlet.

ALAN, SMOLDER, and SCULLERYWhat?

DRAKE

Remember when I told you that Jeff andI have connections to a corporation thatdeals with weirdo bizarre stuff?

SMOLDERYeah.

DRAKE

Well I was talking about the Engelsikarioscorporation.



Smolder rolls the die and moves his chess piece forward 3 spaces.

SMOLDERI kind of figured that.

Scullery rolls the die and moves forward 5 spaces. She picks up a clue card from thecommunity chest pile.

SCULLERYThe rope. All I need now is a location to

send my assassin.

Drake picks up a Candy Land card and moves 6 spaces.

DRAKE

They hired us to test you guys. Theywanted to know more about you,specifically Smolder.

SCULLERYWhy'd they use you guys as middlemen?Why not just engage us directly?

DRAKE

Do I look like I'd know that?

Smolder rolls the die and moves forward 5 spaces. He pays Alan $150.

ALANNo. You look stu--

SMOLDER

How'd you betray them?

Scullery rolls the die and moves forward 5 spaces.

SCULLERYDang it. I'm in jail.

DRAKE

Me and Jeff broke into their officesto find out if they knew where Scullery

was. That's when we found the contract.



SCULLERY

Why would they have a copy of that?

Smolder rolls the die and moves forward 3 spaces. He pays Scullery $200.

ALANThey'd been spying on us via that

boom mic that we found in the ceiling.Maybe they have some secret surveillance

technology in our office that makes photocopies of any document that ends up there.

Drake picks up a Candy Land card and moves four spaces.

DRAKEThat's crazy and impossible.

ALANHello! I'm a talking shoe box whouse to run a movie studio.

Drake picks up a Clue card from the community pile chest.

DRAKE

Tooshy.(then)

Yes, I've got it. I hire Miss Scarlet toassassinate the King of Candy Land

with the Candlestick in the Study.King me!

Scullery replaces Drake's chess piece with a king chess piece.

Smolder rolls the die and moves forward 3 spaces. He pays Scullery $200.

SMOLDER

I'm sure they had security cameras thatsaw you guys break in which pleads the

question, Why didn't they stop you?

Scullery rolls the die and moves 2 spaces. She pays Alan $150.



ALAN

Maybe they wanted them to help youfind Scullery.

SCULLERYWhy would they do that?

(then)

It's your turn Smolder.

Smolder rolls the die and moves 3 spaces. He picks up a Clue Card.

DRAKEThey've invested a lot of time and

stuff in monitoring you guys so

maybe they sort of want you tosucceed in whatever you're doing.

SMOLDERWhat's with the monitoring though?

(then)The Ballroom. Now I just need an assassin.

(then)What's so interesting about us? We're

both failures. We we're kicked outta theFBI and we're pretty terrible detectives

and--

SCULLERYOkay we get it Smolder.

Scullery rolls the die and moves 1 space. She pays Smolder $100.

SMOLDERSorry.

ALANCallkadawn is interested in you.

Smolder rolls the die and moves 4 spaces. He pays Alan $200.

SMOLDER

Yeah but that's all crazy and weird.



This is different.

Scullery rolls the die and moves 3 spaces. She picks up a Clue card.

SCULLERY

Alright, my assassin, Colonel Mustard,kills the President with the rope in thekitchen. President me!

(then)How is this different?

Smolder switches Scullery's pawn with a king.

SMOLDER

Callkadawn is sort of magical or

something and Engelsikarios is basedin science or whatever.

Drake rolls the die and places 4 Risk army units on the Monopoly game board.

ALAN"Any sufficiently advanced technology

is indistinguishable from magic."

Scullery rolls the die and places 5 Risk army units on the Candy Land game board.

DRAKEYeah, like DVD players.

SMOLDER

Who were you quoting, Alan?


ALAN

I dunno. Some guy.

(pauses)I think I heard it in some movie once.

All I can remember is I really liked thetitle for some reason.

Scullery rolls the die and places 1 Risk army unit on the Candy Land game board.



SCULLERYHere's what I'm thinking. Callkadawn

and Engelsikarios are either workingtogether or they're enemies.

Drake rolls the die and places 6 Risk army units on the Monopoly game board

SMOLDERThat would actually make a lot of

sense.

Scullery rolls the die and groans. She places 1 Risk army unit on the Candy LandBoard.

DRAKEHow do ya know they're's justtwo? What if there's three groups?


ALAN

And what if the moon's actually agiant space ship that's been patiently

waiting for the perfect moment to attackEarth?

DRAKE

Have you been reading my secret fearsjournal?

Scullery knocks over her King.

SCULLERYI give up.

ALANWhy?

SCULLERY

Because this game stopped making sensethe moment we started playing it. You

win Drake.



Drake throws his arms up in the air and shakes his fists.

DRAKE(imitating Sylvester Stallone)

Adrian!

SCULLERY

Why do you think there'd be threegroups Drake?

Drake drops his arms and looks slightly confused.

DRAKE

Three's better than two...

SMOLDEROoookay... So the current theory

is that these two "groups" are sortof fighting over me.

ALAN

Sure, why not.

SMOLDERWhat are we gonna do about this?

Scullery looks over at the TV.

SCULLERY

Guys, this might be important.

Scullery picks the TV remote up and unmutes the TV. They all turn to the TV.

TELEVISION SCREEN - ANIMATED NEWS REPORT

A poorly animated flash cartoon of a REPORTER sits at a news desk.

REPORTEROur insider source at the Engelsikarios

corporation just told us that the computernerds were unsuccessful in getting rid

of the reported virus. The source went on to



say that the virus has taken over the entirefacility and all the other Engelsikarios facilities

across the world. It's just a matter of time beforethe virus takes control of everything else,including military stuff like missile solos

that have nukes in them.(pauses)

This could be the end. Doomsda--

The reception cuts out.
