Mrs Mitchell was delighted with some writing that Owen McDowell completed this week on Ancient Egypt.

“Boys went to work with their fathers and they helped as much as they could. They played games like leap frog and ball. They didn’t get hurt in games. Girls stayed at home with their mothers and learnt how to look after the house. The toys they played with were wooden bolts and a game like chess called Senex. “

Well done Owen I look forward to reading more of your excellent writing.
