Red Nose Day Fun This week our school have been celebrating Red Nose Day with all the usual fun including something different this year which is making your face funny. We also learnt the Red Nose Day song and sung this in assembly. Thank you to everyone who supported this good cause by dressing in non-uniform etc.

Musical Extravaganza Don’t forget that tickets are still available for the joint concert between Longroyde Juniors and Elland Silver Band at St Matthews on Friday 27th March at 7pm. It promises to be a lovely concert and you will be able to check out the musical stars of the future.

Parent’s Questionnaires Thank you very much to all the parents who took part in the recent questionnaire. We really do value your thoughts and are collating your responses so we can give you some feedback. We aim to be the best we can and we really mean that. We are open to suggestions and will answer all the questions you have raised. Thank you once again.

Voice Your Choice Well the rosettes were out at LJs this week as the candidate schemes for the Voice Your Choice made their presence felt. There were hustings in assembly, speeches and rallies. On the big day everyone in school went to our very own polling booth and cast their vote. Thank you to Danny the Champion of the RBL for his support, to Year 6, Mrs Hemingway and Mrs Holdsworth. We also had our very own returning officer in Mrs Clarke.

Welcome Mr Cooper Following Mr Cuthbert’s departure to follow the ‘American Dream’ we have appointed Mr Cooper to the staff as our sport’s coach. Mr Cooper was in the RAF and is very keen to share his enthusiasm for sport with children. We are hoping shortly to expand the range of sports on offer.
