Julien Fournie Julien Fournie was born to a Castilian mother and a French father. A French fashion designer` s talent was revealed in the very childhood. The last creative director of the Parisian fashion house Torrente initially decided to study at a medical university. He changed his decision and focused his attention on fashion. He graduated from the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicate de la Couture Parisienne in 2000. The day of his graduation meant two-fold satisfaction as he won the Moet & Chandon Prize for the best accessories. After the studies it was necessary to develop his skills; therefore, he worked at various fashion houses as an apprentice. Fournie has gained experience as member of several sound fashion designers such as Nina Ricci, Christian Dior, Jean Mouclier, or Givenchy. Julien Fournie was recruited by Jean-Paul Gaultier as an assistant stylist in his fashion house where he was responsible for researching material and embroidery designs for the Autumn/Winter 2001/2002 collection. He has designed for Madonna and his stage outfits have appeared on one of her tours. He joined the Claude Montana studio at the end of 2001. The centre of his attention was pret-a-porter and accessories under the artistic direction of Stephane Parmentier. He has already produced the collections of scarves, bags, luggage and jewelry. Julien’s career kept on developing and he became a style director for the ready-to wear collections at Torrente fashion house at the age of 28.In early September 2003 before the first fashion show for Torrente he had been appointed a creative director by management committee. He is regarded as a talented figure with a sense for elegance and realistic style what has resulted in the creative return of the trademark
