HR and Admin Officer Job Description
Salary Level 4 (£17,690 to £22,805 fte) Dependent upon experience and qualifications. Part time (20 hours / Term Time)
Purpose To provide HR support to the school and administration support to the Director of Finance and Services
Accountable to DFS
Accountable for None
Main Responsibilities:HR To produce HR letters and correspondence
Completion of all new starter paperwork, including new starter packs, offer letters employment contracts
Complete contract variations Ensure the payroll officer is provided all relevant, timely information to
enable the accurate processing of the monthly payroll Recruitment and selection administration including; scheduling and
booking interviews, liaising with candidates and producing interview packs. Meeting and greeting candidates
Ensuring room and refreshments are ready before the interview To manage the HR information system to ensure electronic employee
records are up to date. This will include responsibility for data entry and reporting
Record absence information and monitor for trends, reporting regularly to the DFS in line with the Sickness absence policy and other relevant HR policies
Provide support to the Principal and DFS in any confidential staff matters, to include taking notes at various meetings (disciplinary, capability etc)
To maintain an accurate and up to date Single Central Record To coordinate the School Workforce Census annual return Maintain staff records, including; filing and retrieving records Support the DFS in update and review of the employment manual and
relevant HR policiesAdministration Producing correspondence and reports as requested by the DFS
Dealing with telephone and personal enquiries efficiently and effectively Diary management, organisation of meetings and minute taking for the
DFS Provide admin support to the finance team as required

Any other duties required by the DFS and Principal, which is within the scope of this post.
