Work Packs for 4 th May- 18 th May Year 6 red Dear Parents/ Carers, We have had no confirmation about the position in terms of school opening or closing after the 11 th May so have planned a further two week work pack in case the situation remains unchanged. After feedback from some parents we have changed our home working packs a little to reduce the amount of printing that is needed. This will help at home but, as a school, we are also having issues with sourcing paper and keeping photocopiers maintained! In this pack you will find: 1) A grid of activities you child can pick from over the next two weeks. These include P.E., art, Literacy, science and fun activities that do not rely on too many resources. PLEASE DO NOT WORRY IF YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THEM ALL- they are ideas to help support your children at this strange time! Some of these activities are practical whilst others can be completed on paper or online. 2) Some examples to help you with some of the activities; 3) A list of Maths counting activities that will help to maintain your child’s maths skills. They may need your support with these, even if it is only to provide numbers and check answers. Teachers will be using Flipgrid to read a stories to children and complete Welsh on a weekly basis The children in Year 6 can also access Maths and Literacy Games on these websites: Reasoning: https://thirdspacelearning.com/blog/year-6-maths-reasoning- questions-answers-ks2-sats/ Procedure: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/7-11-years/ordering-and- sequencing-numbers

Work Packs for 4th May- 18th May Year 6 red

Dear Parents/ Carers,

We have had no confirmation about the position in terms of school opening or closing after the 11 th

May so have planned a further two week work pack in case the situation remains unchanged.

After feedback from some parents we have changed our home working packs a little to reduce the amount of printing that is needed. This will help at home but, as a school, we are also having issues with sourcing paper and keeping photocopiers maintained!

In this pack you will find:

1) A grid of activities you child can pick from over the next two weeks.

2) Some examples to help you with some of the activities;

3) A list of Maths counting activities that will help to maintain your child’s maths skills. They may need your support with these, even if it is only to provide numbers and check answers.

Teachers will be using Flipgrid to read a stories to children and complete Welsh on a weekly basis

The children in Year 6 can also access Maths and Literacy Games on these websites:

Stay Safe,

Mrs Woodford
