Neh. 12 – Worship: Ribbon Cutting of the Wall
Sermon Notes:
Those living in Jerusalem with Nehemiah rejoiced and worshipped God because of who He was and how He had provided for the completion of the wall. They rejoiced at the work God had done in their midst and how He had been faithful to them, even in their sin. Not to minimize their rejoicing, but if they can get excited over the protection and provision of a bunch of rocks piled together, how much more excited should our worship be over the transforming power and redemption that God continues to do in our lives and the lives of those around us through Jesus Christ!

Notes
Questions for Reflection:
1) In what ways does God’s Word and work bring you peace? Worship Him and thank Him for that.
2) What are some areas of your life that need tweaking (or major overhaul) to allow you to worship God more fully? (Spending time in God’s Word? Making gathering with other believers a priority? Living for God’s glory in all you say and do?)
3) Is your heart humble enough to allow God to speak to you concerning the sin in your life?
4) How can you begin (or continue) to leave a legacy to your children/family and others around you concerning your active pursuit of worship - ascribing ‘worth’ to God?
