English Fiction/Non-Fiction Children will listen to and retell stories linked to our ‘Animals’ topic. Our core text will be ‘The Bog Baby’. We will also be reading and writing about different kinds of animals. Speaking and Listening/Role Maths Children will be learning about the following areas: -Number and Place Value -Measurement- length and mass/weight -Addition and Subtraction Science Children are going to be finding out all about animals and humans. We will be identifying and naming common animals, including fish, reptiles, birds, reptiles and mammals. We will be finding out Computing *Children will learn how to login safely and begin to understand why we needs passwords and how to keep our work safe. Children will use software called Purple Mash to create their work. They will learn how to save Music *They will make different sounds with their voices and with instruments. *They will say whether they like or dislike a piece of music. ART/DT Children will be drawing and painting pictures of themselves and animals. They will also make animal Reminders *Book bags to be sent into school every day. Children receive house points for bringing it in every day! Please check book bags every day for letters. *School clothes, including PE kit must be labelled with your child’s name. PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Uniform School Jumpers should be green with the school logo on, white shirts/polo shirts, black/grey trousers (not leggings)/pinafores/skirts.
