Louise I am a female PA I am a driver with use of a car I am available to work up to 20 hours per week. I can work from 9.30am – 1pm, 3-4
days a week. I am available to work on Saturdays and Sundays and I can work during school holidays with notice. I may be available for short cover notice depending on the hours required
Throughout my working life everything I’ve done has involved working with and caring for people in lots of different ways. I’ve been a children’s swimming teacher assistant, helper at St Peters Community School in Portslade, a massage therapist at Heathrow Airport and at a Spa in London and more recently I’ve joined MacMillan as a volunteer. I find working with and caring for people is second nature to me. I find it so rewarding being able to help someone, even if it’s only in a small way by having a chat or running an errand for them. It’s become clear to me that caring for those that need it is something that I’m drawn to as I find it so fulfilling, a recent loss within my family has given me a renewed focus.
I’m a very approachable, fun individual and a mother of two young girls and I’m looking forward to working with someone who I can help enjoy a better life.
I enjoy baking, gym, running, cycling, paddle-boarding, snowboarding, reading, cooking, gardening, listening to music, travelling theatre.
I carried out an induction training day with MacMillan and a course on dealing with Bereavement and Loss. I have also gained an NCFE certificate in Adult Social Care through Portslade Adult Learning Centre.

I am a female PA I am a driver with a car I have been a PA for almost 2 years, working with 3 different children with varying
degrees of needs. I work with 1 child , aged 14, who has dyspraxia and mild autism, 1 child, aged 13, who has dyspraxia, global development delay, walking difficulties and limited speech and another child, aged 11, who has Rubenstein Taybi syndrome.
I wanted to be a PA because it offers lots of freedom within the job and I like being able to offer children and young people some independence. I decided to become a PA as I was interested in working outside of the after school club that I work at on a 1 to 1 basis with children I knew from there. I began with working with 1 girl who I take out on a Saturday morning for 4 hours to develop her independence and social skills.
As I also work at Extratime in an inclusive after school club I have undertaken lots of training through them. I have done gastrostomy training and been signed off on that, emergency meds training, hoist training, communication and challenging behaviour as well as lots of others.
I am a highly organised person and I like providing opportunities for children and young people to do things alongside their peers. I have lots of experience working with children and young people with learning difficulties and special needs through working at an inclusive after school club for both mainstream and children with special needs. I enjoy working as a PA and like the challenges that often arise from the job itself.

Nathaniel
I am a male PA For most of my life, I have grown up around people who had needed care.
Whether it be in my personal life, or my academic life, there have always been instances where people have needed guidance and assistance in their day to day lives. I spent a lot of time growing up with my best friend whose twin brother’s have severe autism. I learnt a great deal about autism through my time with them, sometimes assisting in their care.
In secondary school I was a one on one reading tutor to a younger boy with reading and writing difficulties, and also a part time assistant to a partially paralyzed peer of mine.
My mum worked at RISE and after leaving school I helped the children there who attended activities during the school holidays.
In my own family, my uncle suffered a stroke leaving him paralyzed and totally dependent on his close relatives. These experiences have moulded my views and general outlook, handed me a sense of duty, whilst knowing all too well that there isn't enough help for those that need it.
I have been described as someone who has a caring nature, I'm always willing to sit and listen to people and I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and getting to know more about them.
I have been involved in football coaching and a world challenge trip. I am currently undertaking pilot training as I hope to become a pilot, I have previously been involved with the RAF cadets.
Essentially, I feel my life - prior and up to this point - has demonstrated suitability to this post, whilst still having an encouraging energy for further improvement.
Nathaniel has undergone an Enhanced DBS check and has completed the following courses:
