What are the conventions of music videos from this genre?between a male and a female.There are a few codes and conventions that are apparent when watching and analysing different Hip-Hop music videos. The first one I am going to talk about is the use of low angle, upward looking camera angles. This type of shot can be used in a variety of different ways for a variety of different reasons, although their is one main reason why it is used specifically in this genre of music video. It is most frequently used to insinuate power and status with in a music video, as well as to show the importance of a character(s) in a text.

It starts off with Sam sitting on a sofa and I take photos each time his track top changes. It then goes to Sam walking down an alley to his gate and then a clip of him walking with his dog. Then I have a stop motion of a cigarette and then Sam rolling the cigarette. I also have clips of Sam djing and then clips of him dancing with different masks and then clips of him making scrambled egg like he does in the original video.

Mood board

Create a mood board showing what ‘look’ your music video will have. Add images showing ideas of mise-en-scene, characters, costumes and colours that will be present in the different shots.
