The first website we have chosen Is Topshop. Topshop is a British multinational fashion retailer of

clothing, makeup, shoes and accessories.

The purpose of this website is to entertain and promote as it is a fashion website.

Demographics

Even though the prices are quite expensive the target audience is aimed at C2DE’s which is the primary audience.

Psychographics

People who shop at Topshop are generally fashion conscious teenagers and young adults. The target audience tends to be interested in going out partying

How it targets its audience

It targets this audience by keeping up with new fashion trends because the target audience always want to latest fashion and to be ahead of the trends. Topshop knows the young generation communicates through social media and they use this to their advantage. Topshop has Twitter, Instagram and Facebook which they use to advertise, announce and inform. They also have a 10% all year round (sometimes higher) student discount because a lot of their shoppers will be in college and university and will love a discount.

The colours of the website are neutral which looks classic and isn’t overwhelming. The logo is plain with monochrome colours the is text simple but bold with capital letters. This attracts a variety of different people to the website. The fact that the logo is simple it makes it look more modern and appeal more to the stylish audience.

The seconds website we have chosen is Sky Sports, the logo is a banner
