NOTTINGHAMSHIRE WOMEN’S AID LTD Do you want to be part of a dynamic and growing organisation that works to promote the safety and well being of women, children and young people affected by domestic violence and abuse? As a result of the continued development of Nottinghamshire Women's Aid Limited we are looking to recruit the following post: Female Children and Young People’s Domestic Abuse Support Worker 21 hours per week £21,519 per annum, pro rata for part time The successful person will deliver healthy relationship and domestic abuse awareness packages within schools/agencies to educate young people and enable them to make informed choices. Also targeted pieces of work within schools/agencies to vulnerable groups of young men and young women in their own abusive relationship. Deliver group work to children and young people affected by domestic abuse, including the Hands are not for Hurting programme. They will provide individual and family support packages for children ensuring that they have opportunities to work through their experiences of living with and leaving domestic abuse. They will complete the Young person’s risk assessment tool, offer safety interventions and support through the MARAC process. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential. Closing date: 5pm on 24/9/19 Interviews: 8/10/19 The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Posts will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and open to women only. (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1)
