February’s News Letter

Amy is originally from Overland Park, Kansas but moved to Louisiana in 2014 to finish college. During that time she decided to stay here permanently. During High School, she was very involved in theater and dance with a local Christian theater group. When she moved to Louisiana, she started to lead worship at her church Wednesday and Sunday nights, and sometimes Sunday mornings. She continues to sing and be very active at her church; WFRU. She has a Burmese Python named Baby Thor, which is her only pet. At ULM she studied Latin for her foreign language requirement and that ended up being her favorite class. She is excited to see what God has in store for her life in the future. Her favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. “

Culture Word of the month Glory Therapy has eight culture words. You will see these words posted throughout our clinic. Our desire is for these words to direct us in everything we do. Our culture words guide our team in all that we do. Compassion, Caring, Hope, Grace, Joy, Gentle, Encouragement, and Integrity are our culture words.

This month is Compassion; compassion is a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

“The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger and of great mercy.” Psalms 145:8

Our Logo is in the shape of a cross, a cross has a vertical and a horizontal parts; the vertical (purple and red) represents our relationship with God, how the King from above has come down through sacrifice to align us in a relationship with Him.

Purple represents royalty, Jesus is our King, and the purple is pointing up toward heaven, where our King now rests.

Red represents Jesus sacrificial blood as He came down to earth to redeem us through the cross, He is our way to heaven.

The horizontal (green and blue) represents our relationship here on earth with God and others, our opportunity to Be a Vessel.

Green represents growth, like a plant. God has called us to grow in our relationship with Him and those around us. We are to grow as disciples and share in discipling others.

Blue reminds us of water and represents our moving, changing relationship with God and others, as moving, refreshing waters, our relationship with God should bring a time of refreshing into our lives and the lives of those around us.

Gold/yellow in the center represents the Glory of God! Our relationship with God, through Christ, allows us to Be His Vessel and invest in others bringing God Glory!

Our logo starts and continues from the Glory center. We exist for His Glory and this should be at the center of every part of our lives. His light shines when He works in

and through us as His Vessel to touch others. Each of the parts of the cross are in the shape of people to represent our relationships. Relationships are the most important

part of the opportunity we have at Glory Therapy. The people are seen with hands reaching out in each direction as a radiation of His Glory from the center.
