Mary Berry’s Cheese and Garlic Tear and Share Scones.

Ingredients:450g self-raising flour2 tsp baking powder2tsp mustard powder1tsp salt100g butter, cubed50g parmesan cheese, finely grated100g cheddar cheese1 garlic clove crushed6tsp finely chopped chives2 eggsAbout 150ml milk(I didn’t have parmesan or chives so I used 150g of grated cheddar and no chives.)

1. Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7 and line a baking sheet with baking paper.2. Measure the flour and baking powder into a large bowl with the mustard, salt and butter. Using

your fingertips, rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add both cheeses with the garlic and chives.

3. Beat the eggs in a jug adding enough milk to make up to 300ml of liquid. Gradually add this to the mixture in the bowl and mix together to make a dough. Tip on to a lightly floured work surface and knead until smooth then divide into 22 equal sized balls.

4. Arrange the balls of dough on the prepared baking sheet to form a round with all the balls just touching. Brush with any leftover liquid in the jug and sprinkle with parmesan.

5. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until well risen and golden on top and underneath. Serve warm with butter.

Chocolate Fudge Crinkle BiscuitsThis is easier than the Subway biscuits and nearly as nice.Ingredients: 60g cocoa powder, sieved200g caster sugar60ml vegetable oil2 large eggs180g plain flour1 tsp baking powder70g icing sugar.

1. Mix the cocoa, caster sugar and oil together. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking until fully combined.

2. Stir the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt together in a separate bowl, then add to the cocoa mixture and mix until a soft dough forms. If it feels soft transfer to the fridge and chill for 1hr. Heat the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5. Tip the icing sugar into a shallow dish. Form a heaped teaspoon of the dough into a ball, then roll in the sugar to coat. Repeat with the remaining dough, then put evenly spaced on a baking tray lined with baking parchment.

3. Bake in the centre of the oven for 10 minutes, they will firm up as they cool. Transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool.

Oreo Truffles

Ingredients:1 packet of Oreos (176g)140g of Philadelphia.

Instructions:1. Put the Oreos in a sandwich

bag and beat with a rolling pin.

2. Put the Philadelphia into a mixing bowl and pour the crushed Oreos in.

3. Mix well.4. Take a teaspoon amounts of

the mixture and roll into balls.
