Hello to everybody in fourth class! I’m missing you all a lot and really hope that everyone is keeping well and staying safe in these unprecedented times! As we are off next week I have set out some more school work for you to continue with at home. Note: Complete work as best you can and do not worry if you get stuck in any area. Just skip on the next thing and do your best in each topic area! That will be enough! In relation to PE, Ms Healy has put together an active schools whole school PE programme which can be found on the Active School Flag section of our website. Joe Wicks (The Body Coach TV) is also doing live classroom workouts on YouTube every morning at 9am. This could be a great way to start your day. Hello to everybody in fourth class! I’m missing you all a lot and really hope that everyone is keeping well and staying safe in these unprecedented times! As we are off next week I have set out some more school work for you to continue with at home.

TuesdayMaths: Fractions continued.

Today we are continuing to calculate a fraction of a set. We learned that in order to find a fraction of a set we must divide the whole number by the denominator (the number at the bottom of the fraction).

Example: ¼ of 32 = 8. Here we divide the whole number (32) by the denominator 4 (number at the bottom of the fraction) to calculate our answer. Complete activity C below to get some practice.
