English – How many words can you make using these letters?

Look at the letters and see how many words you can make. What is the longest word you can make? You can only use the letters as many times as they appear.

Extension: Can you write a sentence using your favourite word that you made?

English – Verbs

What is a verb? Remember that a verb is a ‘doing’ word or action word. Read the sentences and complete them by adding the correct verb. Re-read your sentence to check that it makes sense with the verb you have used.

Challenge: Can you circle any nouns?

English – Creative writing

Look at the picture…What can you see? What do you think might be happening to each of these characters? Where may they be going? Tell your ideas to an adult. You can choose one or two things from this picture to write about or you may want to include as many into your creative writing piece as you can to make it extra exciting!

You could write a description explaining what is happening in the picture or you could choose one or two things from the picture to create an exciting story.
