Job DescriptionHousekeeping Assistant (Weekend)
JOB PURPOSE
To provide a high standard of cleaning in bedrooms and communal areas working within designated areas.
MAIN DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To clean patient bedrooms: emptying bins, vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture, cleaning sinks, mirrors etc
To clean bathrooms, toilet areas
To clean windows
To report any repairs to the maintenance department
To work within infection control guidelines
To adhere to health and safety guidelines and prevention
To attend mandatory training sessions, i.e. fire seminar, etc
To undertake any other tasks requested by the Supervisor or Facilities Manager

In addition to your professional code of conduct, you must familiarise yourself with, and adhere to St Peter & St James policies and procedures, which can be found on the Shared Directory.
You have a duty to undertake relevant compulsory training, (including e-learning modules) as required in order to fulfil the requirements of your post and comply with statutory regulations.
If you manage staff and/or volunteers it is your responsibility to ensure that your team are made aware of and understand the policies and procedures relevant to their work, and are compliant with compulsory training requirements.
