How do you think the shoemaker is feeling when the rival shoe business appears outside his shop? What does the sneaky rival shoemaker do to encourage the customer to choose his shoes? Why does the shoemaker ring a bell? What do the shoes persuade the shoemaker to do? How did the shoemaker feel in the end? Yesterday you watched the Little Shoemaker video. Today can you describe the shoemaker and his shop? Use alliteration, adjectives and similes to describe the shop and the shoemaker. Make your description interesting, remember descriptions are supposed to help the reader imagine what something looks like! Today I would like you to write some instructions about how to make MAGIC shoes like the little shoemaker does. Don’t forget your title How to make magic shoes and your adverbials of time First, next, then Your instructions should be in chronological order and have simple sentences so that anyone can follow them. Can you send me your instructions? I would love to read them and see if they work… Can you design a poster advertising the little shoemaker’s shop? You must persuade the customers to shop in his shop instead of the sly and sneaky rival shop. What makes the shoemaker’s shoes unique?... MAGIC! Brilliant Big Writing Friday Can you retell the story of the little shoemaker in a fairy tale style? Think about the features of traditional tales, they have story openers like Once upon a time… and they have to finish with a… HAPPY ENDING! Really push yourself and see if you can write using different paragraphs when the time, place or person changes. Maths In school we follow the White Rose Maths scheme and they have made some lessons available to us online.
