Using Adobe Spark for Presentations of work in LCA Please find below a step-by-step approach to using Adobe Spark video as a means of presenting work. It allows students to personalize their presentations by inserting their own graphs/charts/pictures or using the stock images available within Adobe. It also allows them to speak over their presentation which is useful as it allows the student record/re-record as many times as they want. As you are aware, oral presentation skills are very important in LCA in general in preparing students for their LCA tasks, a crucial element of their overall assessment. Furthermore, communicating is one of the five senior cycle key skills and is a very important life skill for the students as they prepare to navigate their post leaving certificate pathways. Using Adobe Spark for Presentations of work in LCA

Please find below a step-by-step approach to using Adobe Spark video as a means of presenting work. It allows students to personalize their presentations by inserting their own graphs/charts/pictures or using the stock images available within Adobe. It also allows them to speak over their presentation which is useful as it allows the student record/re-record as many times as they want.

As you are aware, oral presentation skills are very important in LCA in general in preparing students for their LCA tasks, a crucial element of their overall assessment. Furthermore, communicating is one of the five senior cycle key skills and is a very important life skill for the students as they prepare to navigate their post leaving certificate pathways.

Adobe Spark provides the opportunity to create many different flyers/posters or videos. In this example, we are going to create a video.

At this point, students can add a video clip they may have recorded, some text or a photo. Hover over each of these to add, click and the options will appear on the right hand side of the screen.

To add a photo, for example, there are options to upload a photo which is where the students could upload their charts or graphs completed, upload a photo of a memory or a visit they completed with school. There are also options to upload from Google Drive or indeed, use some of the free photos if they are giving a generic presentation on a topic.

At this point the students can add another slide and repeat this process, adding as many slides as are necessary.

When completed, the students can share the completed video with their teacher via Google Classroom directly by clicking on it or by email or sharing a link.
