Can run very quickly to escape predators; can jump high; males grow antlers each year; stores body fat to keep warm in winter; newborns have no scent so predators cannot smell them; excellent vision, hearing and sense of smell; flicks tail when in danger; flash of white warns others.

Has a good sense of hearing and smell; has sharp claws to dig; reddish-brown color is camouflage; nocturnal; will walk through water so predators cannot follow its scent; will eat almost anything; breeds at one year of age.

From Southwest Saskatchewan; has long claws for digging; hibernates and stores fat for winter; can get water from plants, so does not need to drink water; lives in large groups; clean each other and sleep together; keep the entrance of their tunnels clear so they can watch for predators.

Spits a brown liquid from its mouth to fight predators; blends into its environment; has very strong jaws for eating plants; antennae (sometimes called feelers) are short, divided into sections and pick up scents; legs are so strong it can jump 20 times its length; has two pairs of wings.

Migrates from Canada to California and Mexico; hibernates where it is warm; warns predators of bad taste through pattern of colors of black, white and yellow; is poisonous to eat and causes most animals to vomit violently.
