Youthful Cities Coventry UK City of Culture new programme for 18-25 year olds Youthful Cities is a cultural and creative skills exchange between Coventry (England) and four international cities; Nairobi (Kenya), Bogota (Colombia), Detroit (America), and Beirut (Lebanon). The programme culminates in the creation of four new artworks and an event which brings together the ideas and innovations from the exchanges into a 3-day Global Youth Summit in Coventry. We are working with 8 organisation who will be paired together to work with 12 young people, across 4 different art forms. Street Art (for the exchange in Bogota, Colombia) Poetry, Spoken Word & Storytelling (for the exchange in Beirut, Lebanon) Music (for the exchange in Detroit, USA)

Youthful CitiesCoventry UK City of Culture new programme for 18-25 year olds

Youthful Cities is a cultural and creative skills exchange between Coventry (England) and four international cities; Nairobi (Kenya), Bogota (Colombia), Detroit (America), and Beirut (Lebanon). The programme culminates in the creation of four new artworks and an event which brings together the ideas and innovations from the exchanges into a 3-day Global Youth Summit in Coventry.

We are working with 8 organisation who will be paired together to work with 12 young people, across 4 different art forms.

This callout is for the Coventry X Bogota exchange and we are looking for 6 young people to work with street artist Jay and aerosol art organisation Graffwerk (https://graffwerk.org//) together with Colombian organisation Vertigo Graffiti (https://en.vertigograffiti.com/).

We are looking for young adults:- Who have skills and experience in street art / graffiti, photography and

videography- Are aged between 18-25- Live in Coventry or Warwickshire (CV postcode)- Are interested in social justice, civic innovation, international partnerships

This is a paid opportunity. Each successful artist will receive £2000 to participate in the programme.
