As summer is approaching we would have soon been going on a class trip to the beach.

Imagine what this day would have been like!

Write a diary entry to tell me all about your trip to the beach

Were you feeling so excited for the trip you couldn’t sleep last night? What was the journey there like?Who is your partner? What was the weather like? What games did you play at the beach? What could you see/hear at the beach?Did you go in the sea?Did you spot any animals/sea life? What did you have for your dinner?Did Miss Bell give everyone an ice cream? How did you feel when the teachers said it was time to go back on the bus?Would you like to back again?

Tell the story of ‘The Two Sons’. (Find written story at bottom of pack)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEz1rkZj7dUInside we have something called our conscience. This helps us to look at our choices and decide what is right and what is wrong.

Many Christians use their conscience to examine their choices from the day. This means that they think about what has happened during the day and how they have tried to be the kind of person that God who loves them, wants them to be. They think about what they have done during the day – the good choices they have made for which they say thank you, and the bad choices for which they are sorry. The wrong choices which are done on purpose are sins – that is something that spoils or breaks friendship with God and with other people. Sin is anything that breaks God’s law of love. It is always something that has been done on purpose, not accidentally, or it is something we should do and purposely do not do it.

Make a prayer card (using the two prayers below) that you could use each evening to help you examine your conscience and say sorry for the bad choices.

Holy Spirit, you are with us when we choose.

For our good choices and the joy of making them, we thank you.

For the joy they bring us and others, we thank you.

For our wrong choices, we are sorry.

For the hurt we have done to others, we are sorry.

Help us to take time to think.

We ask you to help and guide us, Amen

O my God because you are so good,

I am very sorry that I have sinned against you

and with the help of your grace I will not sin again. Amen

Next to each letter of the title write a sentence about what is happening to the oceans and how we can help to save them. If you can’t think of a full sentence you could simply write one word next to the letter that reminds you of the oceans or how it makes you feel to see them damaged.RE-

’ A Story About Two Sons28 “Tell me what you think about this: There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first son and said, ‘Son, go and work today in my vineyard.’ 29 The son answered, ‘I will not go.’ But later the son decided he should go, and he went. 30 Then the father went to the other son and said, ‘Son, go and work today in my vineyard.’ The son

answered, ‘Yes, sir, I will go and work.’ But he did not go. 31 Which of the two sons obeyed his father?”

The priests and leaders answered, “The first son.”

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth. The tax collectors and the sinners will enter the kingdom of God before you do. 32 John came to show you the right way to live. And you did not believe him. But the tax collectors and sinners believed John. You saw this, but you still refused to change and believe him.
