The School Activities Programme is a system that is compiled of as much information as possible concerning the educational activities provided by civic organisations and systematises the descriptions of the activities to make it easier for teachers to choose items that are most suitable for their requirements.

• Barcelona has a Pedagogic Co-ordination Board run by the Barcelona City Council Institute of Education, that groups together the institutions and entities within the city which offer educational activities for school children.

• Currently, 109 entities offering 2,517 activities participate on the Pedagogic Co-ordination Board.

• The educational activities on the Pedagogic Co-ordination Board’s educational activities are published each academic year in the School Activities Programme (SAP), with a view to maximise the information available concerning the educational activities.

With the incorporation of the new functions offered by Internet technology, the new 2005 SAP will be more interactive, faster, more suitable and more motivating for schools and Pedagogic Co-ordination Board entities alike.

This is a virtual campus that forms part of improving the Municipal Education’s management of quality and efficiency, giving the appropiate technological tools to share information, experiences and projects between teachers and administrative staff and management.
