RFID tracking & inventory solution

STid has developed a complete UHF EPC1 Gen2 weapon tracking solution to manage a large range of weapons and accessories (munitions, tactical gears…) in and out of an armory. This turn-key RFID hardware and software solution is ideal for automatic weapons movement tracking, manual, fixed or mobile item RF identification. It automates weapon tracking to enhance the speed and accuracy of weapon logging and logistics while also improving asset security.

STid will provide the hardware solution according to your configuration and needs.

TagsEach weapon has to be equipped with an UHF tag to be identified. The tag has a unique number that has no more meaning than the weapon serial number engraved. They are available in various shapes to allow their integration into an armrest or on small equipments.

ReadersEach weapon that comes in or out the armory is passed in front of the reading zone to be identified and associated to a destination. The readers maximize the detection area to give an optimal performance in reading tags. RFID handled terminals are used for a quick weapons inventory, and find gears that are misplaced or missing. Fixed readers are placed at armory doorways and issue stations to read objects going in and out of the armory.

Real-time tracking

The weapon management solution enhances the reliability of day-to-day operations and tracking. The system provides an audit trail as to who, what, when and where of weapons inventory. It automatically tracks assets in and out of locations and zones, and can even validate authorization for weapon movements. The monitoring system alerts the users if a gear moves in an unauthorized way and sends any data to a local centralized database.

Easy installation and integration

The solution is plug & play. It requires no electronic configuration and can be very easily integrated and activated into existing or new property management systems. The system is immediately compatible with existing industrial tracking systems, using many communication interfaces.

Resistance

IP65, the UHF readers work in harsh environments. The casing is fully dust-tight and watertight, suitable for indoor and outdoor uses. The tags resist to high temperature, heat shocks, pressure, immersion and corrosion.
