Issa Hourani is an MFA Candidate at CSU, Long Beach. He began dancing at Fullerton College where he trained in a variety of genres such as ballet, jazz, African fusion dance, modern, middle eastern dance, and more. He transferred to UC San Diego, earning his B.A in Dance in addition to completing his pre-medicine requirements. Before applying for a graduate program, he continued to pursue training by taking dance intensives from world renowned artists and companies. He has participated in the American College Dance Association and had a couple of his works representing MiraCosta College at the adjudicated concerts. In 2018, his work “A Bar in Jerusalem,” was presented at the conference and was selected to be presented in the Gala concert, and later selected to perform at the John F Kennedy Center as a part of the National conference. His company, Issa Dance Co., has performed works nationally and internationally.D A N D Y / L I O N S

Sarah Elizabeth Stanley was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and resides in Long Beach, California. She is a currently a Dance MFA Candidate at California State University, Long Beach. She is a co-founder, director, choreographer, and principal performer with the x2 Dance Collective. Previously, Sarah has danced professionally with DIAVOLO2 and The Assembly.
She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied dance under the direction of Sara Rudner and John Jasperse. Sarah was a Taylor School scholarship student for five years, member of the student company, and assistant to Taylor School director Raegan Wood. As a freelance artist, Sarah has performed at The Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center Festival, Lincoln Center Global Exchange, and Spoleto Festival USA.

Tashara Gavin-Moorehead is a professional dancer, choreographer, and dance educator currently based out of Los Angeles. Tashara graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.F.A. in Dance and Choreography in 2008. In the last thirteen years she has danced with Inspirit Dance Company and Vissi Dance Theater in New York City, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater in Chicago, Lula Washington Dance Theater in Los Angeles, and is in her 3rd season with Pat Taylor’s Jazzantiqua Music and Dance Ensemble, also in Los Angeles. Tashara has presented her independent work through The Friendship Concert, The Reflect choreography showcase, and The Los Angeles Fringe Dance Festival, as well as creating site specific solos. Tashara is a huge advocate for dance education and has been teaching in public charter schools and community based programs for grades K-12, and emphasizes mindfulness in her curriculum. Tashara is currently earning her M.F.A. from California State University, Long Beach.A R E T U R N T O S P I R I T
