MORNING Quantum Global

Good Morning & Welcome to Tuesday's trading action at Dalal

Street, dated 4th June 2019.

In early action SGX Nifty is slipping again, but we suspect as the day unfolds,

the said negativity will not last long.

Digging deeper, stocks at our stock markets could waver in morning session

amidst negative catalysts like:

• Sluggish Wall Street cues after Dow Jones index brakes below its 200-

DMA.

• U.S-China trade fears that are now not just confined to China anymore.

• Reports that China is planning to respond to recent U.S. moves which

are likely to escalate trade tensions between the two countries further.

• Falling U.S bond yields. The gap between U.S 3-month and 10-year

rates reached the widest since March — a signal that recession is

looming. This is really a bad omen for the economy.

That brings to our call of the day which suggests that sentiments may be in

limbo in morning session but as the day progresses optimism should be the

order of the day!

We say so because of the following positive catalysts:

1.The biggest positive triggers continue to be sluggish Crude-oil prices

which are near $53 a barrel as U.S. tariffs on Mexico heightened

concerns for the global economy and demand for oil. Please note, oil

prices have tanked 16% in the month of May.

2.Also helping sentiments would be Monday’s provisional Data where

FII’s bought shares worth Rs. 3069 crores in the Indian Equity market.

3.Helping sentiments would be the GST collection which is more than ₹1

lakh crore plus in May. This is third consecutive month of ₹1 lakh crore

plus mobilization.

4.Also, there is a hope that the Reserve Bank of India in its Monetary

Policy meet on June 6th could go for a 25 basis point cut in the repo rate,

taking the total cut to 75 basis points (bps) for this year.

5.All hopeful and anxious eyes will be on the new Finance Minister Nirmala

Sitharaman who will present her first Union Budget on 5 July, 2019. The

street expects that the budget will seek to address some of the

challenges confronting the economy. Hopefully, policy continuity and

big bang reforms will continue.

6.Political winds are in Dalal Street's favor

Bottom-line: Technically, Positive bias as long as Nifty is trading above the

make-or-break support at 11821. Well, if 11821 holds on Nifty then by

this Diwali, we’re going to look back and say, wow, what a great

period at Dalal Street.

MORNING Quantum Global

Technical StrategyOutlook for Tuesday: Volatile session likely.

At the moment, Dalal Street continues to be the best amongst big FIIs camp

as Nifty & Sensex climb to fresh record highs as traders respond to tanking

crude-oil prices.

A decline in crude eases concerns on fiscal deficit, inflation and gives more

room for the government to boost growth through spending on

infrastructure.

CENTURY TEXTILE enjoyed a strong

session in yesterday's trade, up 2.92%.

Technically, brace yourselves for a major

breakout play from a complex ‘Flag

impulse uptrend is seen forming on the

daily time scale, with positive SAR series,

major confirmation above its intermediate

high at 1061 mark (28th May 2019).

Add to that a bullish divergence and a

rising stochastic signal (on weekly charts)

with recent increase in volumes signaling

a larger rebound. The 200 days Simple

Moving Average (SMA) of the stock on the

level of Rs 881-901 zone will act as a

strong support zone and any corrective

of new set of worries in the form of anti-immigration tariffs threatened to be imposed by Trump on Mexico.

• Also, fundamentals' were finally catching up to some of the bond markets warning, as last week the long-term Treasury

yields fell to their lowest point since October 2017 and most importantly, the yield curve inverted. The gap between U.S

3-month and 10-year rates reached the widest since March — a signal that recession is looming.

• In last week's trade, the Dow Jones lost 3.00% and the Nasdaq lost 2.37% while the S&P 500 lost 2.62%.

ECONOMIC CUES:

• All hopeful and anxious eyes will be on the new Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who will present her first Union

Budget on 5 July, 2019. The budget will seek to address some of the challenges confronting the economy, especially the

rural distress and the need for generating quality jobs.

Digging deeper, growth has slipped to a five-quarter low of 6.6% at the end of 2018 and the street suspects that

growth may worsen due to falling rural consumption demand which are clearly visible in automobile, FMCG and aviation.

And then, there are other issues like unemployment, liquidity crisis and fiscal position.

So, the first 100-days of government action will be closely watched. The street will purely look forward to infrastructure

spending. The blueprint of pushing difficult and big-ticket reforms will be keenly watched. The other key catalysts in

near term would be:

o Progress of Monsoon.

o Government's foreign policies.

o Fed Outlook.

o RBI Outlook.

o U.S-China trade tensions.

o Trend of oil prices.

COMMODITY CUES:

• GOLD ($1327): Support now seen 1291 zone on closing basis. Major interweek hurdles now seen at 1368. Interweek

• WTI CRUDE-OIL (53.36): Key hurdles now at 60 zone. Downside risk now seen at 49. Interweek strategy: Establish buy

The Sensex hit day's high above the psychological 40,000 level and the Nifty hit day's high above the psychological
