PROCEDURES

RIC Staff Responsibilities

The RIC is responsible for performing and reporting all WBTS Split activities via the Spinoza_Site_Status.XLS report which is distributed daily at COB via email or available on the NSN Shared network drive at V:\Technology\Operations\Services Management\Nokia Operations\Integrations\Integrated Sites\Spinoza.

The following example is for an OPTUS Lead site where the Vodafone cells will migrate to the new Flexi node.

Pre-WBTS Split Checks

1. Check that site engineer and the RIC have the same target configuration. Ensure all are clear on what transmission and hardware re-arrangements will be implemented.

2. Perform E1 testing if required.3. Check the WBTS for existing alarms. Report to GSMPRO to gain approval prior to commencing

work.4. Create AXC commissioning files using the Sydney IP sheet.5. Launch CM Operations Manager and perform an Upload on all RNCs in the Regional Cluster you are

working on. If the Upload fails on the Target RNC the WBTS is on then DO NOT PROCEED WITH WBTS SPLIT.

WBTS Split

6. Lock down the WBTS’s

7. Update CCU’s (if Vodafone Lead site then the CCU will migrate to the new OPTUS Flexi)

8. Recommission AXC/Flexi

9. Inform site engineer to commence work.

10. Export .XML files for the Actual Configuration for the following Object Classes, ensure you have “include incoming adjacencies” checked in the Export Options window.

WBTS WCEL ADJS ADJI ADJG ADJW if applicable WLCSE if not already created for the 2FA

11. Edit .XML plans with new WBTS ID eg 24219 (use Replace All)

change COCOid eg 24219

change VPI

change WBTSName eg MARGATEoV

change name eg xMARGATEoV

12. Prepare WCELL deletion plan in CM Editor

Select all ADJS, ADJI, ADJG and change status to Delete

Select the WCELs and change status to Delete

13. Provision WCEL Deletion Plan

14. Change existing WBTS name in RNC eg MARGATEoO

15. Perform Upload on all RNCs in Regional Cluster.

18. Add 2FA cells to NetAct view if required and check Maintenance Region

19. Import the WBTS plan and Provision it.

20. Import the WCEL Plan and Provision it.

21. Perform Upload on RNC

22. Import the ADJS, ADJG & ADJI Plans and Provision them.

23. Perform Upload on all RNCs in Regional Cluster

24. Perform audit check of adjacencies. Export ADJS, ADJG & ADJI as per step 10

25. Delete SAXC cross connections and IMA Groups for existing WBTS

26. Create new IMA Groups and Cross connections for both WBTSs

27. Modify COCO for existing WBTS

28. Create COCO for new WBTS

29. Update HSDPA parameters for existing and new WBTS
