Certification: Myths
Myth #1: Companies do business with women and minority businesses to get a tax break.
Fact: Companies want their supplier base to mirror their customer base and set spend goals accordingly. Spend is only dictated if a government contract is involved.
Myth #2: My certification means I will get picked over other non‐minority businesses.
