Throughout this brochure you will find information on the various opportunities to support WBENC this next year; everything from national event sponsorships to supporting WBEs through various capacity building programs, or supporting our female entrepreneurs of tomorrow through our Student Entrepreneur Program. Event Overview

Pre-Summit activities include the Women's Enterprise Forum Meeting, WBENC Board of Directors Meeting, NextGen Meeting, and WEInnovate! The registration desk is open all day; if you registered online, be sure to stop by and pick up your program bag and event materials. Onsite registration is also available. The Pre-Summit Welcome Reception will end the Pre-Summit day and offer an informal evening of networking for the WBENC Board, Forum, and other committee members.

IMPORTANT NOTE: WBENC National Committee Meetings have been scheduled for Monday, March 19, 2018.

The Summit officially begins with the Procurement Opportunity Meet & Greet in the morning. This session is designed to allow WBENC-Certified WBEs to position their companies, products and/or services to participating National Corporate and Government Members. No appointments are required and all WBENC-Certified WBEs with a full Summit & Salute or Summit Only registration may participate.

At the Celebratory Luncheon we will celebrate the success of our WBENC network, which includes women entrepreneurs, supplier diversity professionals, and strategic partners.

Day two afternoon activities consist of the first round of future forward workshops where attendees will learn from visionaries from corporations around the WBENC network. Be sure to plan your workshop strategy so you can maximize your time and attend as many of these sessions as possible. The day will conclude with the Dallas Kickoff Reception and Silent Auction where we will continue our celebration of our WBENC network.

The morning starts off with WBENC’s signature 1:1 MatchMaker meetings. This is an opportunity for WBENC-Certified WBEs to have pre-scheduled appointments with National Corporate and Government Members and their prime suppliers/key business partners to explore 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tier sourcing opportunities and learn how to be considered for these opportunities. WBENC-Certified WBEs who register prior to the January 22, 2018 Early Bird deadline are eligible for participation. NOTE: 1:1 MatchMaker appointments are extended by the participating National Corporate/Government Members based on their current interest and supply chain needs. WBENC cannot guarantee that all eligible WBEs will be extended a 1:1 meeting.

After the 1:1 MatchMaker meetings, a second round of future forward workshops will be held. There will be many industries and topics to choose from. These engaging sessions will be followed by a Keynote Luncheon, a program that is sure to inform and inspire. After lunch the final round of future forward workshops will be held and the Summit will conclude.

The evening festivities will include receptions to get everyone in the celebratory spirit before heading to the Salute! Dinner, where we will culminate our time together by honoring our 14 Women's Business Enterprise Stars, America’s Top Corporations and other special individuals. When the dinner program concludes, it is time to look forward to Detroit in June at the Post Salute Party!

WBENC’s Summit engages participants in a two day program filled with a focus on the future of various industries, business networking, and development opportunities. The Salute follows the Summit and is a festive evening that highlights our 2017 America’s Top Corporations for Women Business Enterprises and our Women's Business Enterprise Stars.

The Summit occurs on March 20-22, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. The Salute! Dinner will take place on the evening of March 22, 2018.

Sponsorship Guidelines

WBENC proactively promotes this event. Our Media Partners provide print and Internet promotion (calendar listings), advertising and coverage. Those publications include: MBE Magazine, Enterprising Women magazine, WE USA, Diversity Inc. and many others. These partners promote the conference through their readership by featuring a full-page ad to maximize exposure and drive traffic to the WBENC Summit & Salute website. WBENC expects to attract an even greater number of Media Partners in 2018, adding to the nearly 500,000 circulation figure for the combined Media Partners.

REMINDERS: WBENC-Certified WBEs who purchase a Summit Only or a Full Summit & Salute registration; WBENC-Certified WBE sponsors; and WBENC-Certified WBE Sponsor guests must be registered by January 22, 2018 to participate in the Procurement Opportunity Connection 1:1 MatchMaker meetings.

Advertising Print Deadline: January 22, 2018 - To be guaranteed inclusion in the sponsor section of the Program Book given to all 1,600+ attendees, you must pledge as a sponsor by this date. All ads are due at this time as well.

The conference starts Tuesday at the energetic Kickoff Luncheon. The day is filled with opportunities to attend different programs designed to engage all attendees. The day concludes with the Welcome Reception where attendees can network. This will be one of many opportunities to bid on a variety of exciting auction items.

The second day of the conference is centered on the Business Fair. The morning starts with the Business Fair Breakfast and Opening Ceremony. Throughout the day, attendees explore the Business Fair floor to discover opportunities with over 300 exhibitors, exchange ideas and connect with each other. Take a break mid-day at your leisure, in our Business Fair Luncheon area where a buffet will be waiting for you. After a high energy day of networking, the exciting Evening Event provides attendees the perfect venue to unwind, have fun and make informal connections.

The final day of the conference offers attendees the opportunity to take advantage of the many resources available to them including progressive educational workshops and pre-scheduled 1:1 MatchMaker meetings. (WBENC SEP) fosters growth for the next generation of women-owned businesses.

Since its inception in 2008, nearly 200 students from 60+ colleges and universities

Program Details Aspiring collegiate female entrepreneurs studying in STEAM (Science, Technology,

A Student Entrepreneur Supporter is a WBENC Corporate Member who serves alongside a WBENC-Certified WBE as a mentor (2 to 1 ratio) to guide and enhance the experience of the students before, during and after SEP. Student Entrepreneur Supporters can choose their WBE co-mentor, or WBENC can assist to identify a certified WBE to serve as their co-mentor. Dorothy B. Brothers Scholarship Program


History of the Scholarship WBENC suffered a great loss in the passing of Dorothy B. Brothers in July 2002. Ms.

Brothers was a Supplier Diversity & Development executive, and WBENC board member.

The Dorothy B. Brothers Scholarship was founded by Ms. Brothers and was made available

to owners of WBENC-Certified Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) firms looking to

attend executive programs. This scholarship provides women business owners access to the

same high caliber executive development that is available to Fortune 500 Companies and a

framework that enables WBEs to formulate and implement business strategies and achieve a

competitive advantage in the new millennium.

Candidate EligibilityCandidates should meet the following criteria for scholarship consideration:

• Currently certified and in good standing as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by WBENC• Must be the owner of the organization• Have a minimum of 5 years in business• Maintain a minimum annual sales volume of $1,000,000 for the past 3 years (no exceptions) • Have not recently attended an executive management program (Tuck-WBENC Program

graduates are eligible to apply, but preference will be given to WBEs who have not already received a scholarship)

General Information


Contributions To The Scholarship Fund In today's complex, fast-paced, competitive environment, Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) must be adept at moving quickly to build new leadership capabilities. Your contribution to the Dorothy B. Brothers Scholarship fund will allow WBEs to attend robust programs that will strengthen their business acumen in core areas such as finance, marketing, management, and strategy. These skills lead to successful, capable, sustainable companies who are poised for successful supply chain integration.

Approved Schools As an ongoing process, WBENC reviews the executive programs currently identified for availability, criteria, and value to ensure that they comply with WBENC's goals and objectives. Additional programs may be added as appropriate. Executive programs are selected to meet the developmental needs of the scholarship winners. Scholarship recipients may choose outside of the list below only with approval from WBENC.

WBENC Energy Executive Program

November 2018 (tentative)


OverviewThe WBENC Energy Executive Program is a week-long, immersive executive education program with topics based in

the Energy, Oil and Gas industry to drive development of Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) leaders within the Energy

Industry supply chain. This program will focus on increasing the competitive advantage, capabilities and strategy

development of each WBE.

The intensive curriculum for this program will include key topics in Business Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Leadership

as well as an immersive half-day facility tour with hands-on exercises and real-life simulations of oilrig and process

operations. All executive topics will be based on how they relate to the Energy Industry and will use WBE’s actual

business experience in exercises where applicable.

The WBENC Energy Executive Program goal is to develop WBEs who have established companies in the energy, oil and

gas industry or related industries that are ready for growth, innovation, or perhaps to consider new business strategies

to better serve the supply chains of our energy corporate members.

NextGen Reverse Mentorship Program


OverviewThe Women’s Business Enterprise National Council NextGen Program fosters opportunities and development of the

next generations of both women-owned businesses and supplier diversity professionals under 40. Launched in 2017,

the NextGen program drew over 150 attendees at the inaugural meeting and continues to evolve and expand. WBENC

is proud to be on the cutting edge of engaging the next generation through the support of WBENC Corporate and

Government Members.

NextGen Reverse Mentorship Program Sponsor $20,000


The NextGen Reverse Mentorship Program provides the opportunity for corporate members and WBE’s under

40 (NextGen) to share knowledge and learn from more experienced generations of corporate members and WBE’s within

the WBENC network. The objective is to create open sharing of ideas and information to foster learning, not only for

mentors and mentees, but the WBENC organization overall. WBENC Reverse Mentors will serve as change mentors,

Growth & Sustainability Fund


Growth & Sustainability FundWBENC has established a restricted funding account that is being structured to allow

WBENC to address short to mid-term needs for Access to Capital for Certified WBEs who

meet specific funding criteria.

Through our work the past 6 years supporting the National Women’s Business Council,

WBENC has learned a great deal about the Access to Capital barrier that challenges growth

of women-owned businesses. While we understand that Start Up and Early Stage capital

are challenges, we believe WBENC’s place is to focus on the barrier around the niche of

expansion and growth capital.
