7 Brendan Bauer

Favorite NHL Team Toronto Maple Leafs

NHL player you most admire & why? Anders Lee. I met him at a Univer-

sity of Notre Dame practice. He is a big power forward who plays for the

New York Islanders. He uses his size and physicality to screen the goalie

and score goals in front of the net.

Are you superstitious? Yes! I always eat spaghetti and orange juice for

night games and a smoothie, eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes for afternoon

games. If something is working, I stick with it. If not, I’ll change it up though.

What is the most embarrassing band/music on your iPod? Maroon 5.

What is the best thing that YOU can cook? Spaghetti.

What is the worst movie you have ever seen? Dunkirk. I saw it in the theatre; didn’t understand it and it was LOUD.

What was the best moment in your hockey career so far? Scoring the winning goal in triple OT to win the Alliance.

Who will win the Stanley Cup this year? Toronto Maple Leafs over the Edmonton Oilers in 7 games.

What is the best book that you have read? Father Bauer and the Great Experiment : the genesis of Canadian Olym-

One word to describe hockey? Awesome!

10 Jake Code

Favorite NHL Team Pittsburgh Penguins

NHL player you most admire & why? Sidney Crosby or Jonathon Toews.

Both are great leaders. They’re very skilled but their effectiveness comes

from their work ethic. They are well-spoken, respectful and humble as

well.

Are you superstitious? Yes. VERY. I always put Vick’s Vapour Rub on my

feet before my on my skates. I tape my stick in the same spot at the rink

and put it in the same spot on the rack. White, Bloomfield and I have a couple handshakes we do before each game.

What is the most embarrassing band/music on your iPod? Little River Band, Elton John and some Phil Collins but I

like older music like that.

What is the best thing that YOU can cook? Kraft Dinner or French Toast. Nothing too complicated.

What is the worst movie you have ever seen? Jack & Jill. Adam Sandler played both roles. Disappointed. Overrated.

What was the best moment in your hockey career so far? Beating Kitchener last year in Game 8 in Kitchener.

Who will win the Stanley Cup this year? Tampa Bay.

What is the best book that you have read? The Hatchet by Gary Paulsen.

One word to describe hockey? Family.
