Fixture supports available for Off-The-Floor water closets. Off-The-Floor water closet systems can be installed more economically than conventional floor mounted systems. Less Sleeving. In most cases only one sleeve is required to take care of the vertical inlet fitting at the start of the horizontal run. Since all the roughing is done on the floor and not in the ceiling below, no scaffolding, ladders or similar supports are required. The installer works on the floor and not in the ceiling below; time is saved since working conditions are more favorable. Because all the rough-in piping is on the floor above, “dropped ceilings” are not required; ceiling space is saved. This enables building ceiling height to be lower, effectively saving overall construction costs.

Suffix –M13 Tiling Frame – The purpose of this frame is to provide a rim for a flat even surface for the tiler to work to when he is applying the finished wall tile. Available for siphon jet closets only.

Suffix –M12 Exposed Flush Valve Supply Support – The M12 support has been redesigned to provide greater strength and ease of installation. The stronger (3/16”) angle clip and more rigid stud make the M12 a great alternative to competitive products like the HoldRite Support.

Suffix –M50 Elevated Support Base – For double (back-to-back) installations which require a single elevated water closet, the –M50 variation may be used with all regular Smith adjustable or compact supports. The –M50 is particularly adaptable to hospital or nursing home applications where a single water closet is installed on the stack at each floor. Not recommended for battery installations.

Suffix –M40 Water Closet Support For Wide Pipe Chase - When the “C” dimension exceeds 7”, the –M40 Wide Pipe Chase Support should be used. This accessory provides a set of feet directly behind the wall for extra rigidity and an alignment yoke to ensure proper alignment of the nipple. The M-40 may be used with any vertical or horizontal fixture support in single or double (back-to-back) installations.

A concealed flush valve will not clear the face plate when used with a blowout water closet support. Therefore 4 ½” to 6 ½” is required from back of wall to face plate to permit the installation of the concealed flush valve piping.

Suffix –M17 Water Closet Setting Gauge – The Gauge has the same dimensions as the rear of the “Off The Floor” siphon jet bowl and is designed to eliminate costly trial and error test mounting and reduce the number of bowl “lifts” per day.

Concealed Flush Valves – For most siphon jet water closets with concealed flush valves, the supply pipe enters the rear of the water closet above the top of the face plate without interference. Concealed flush valve piping in all cases does not interfere with the vent connection of the fitting.

•Wall Hung Siphon Jet Water Closet Supports – Smith No. 0200 series adjustable shallow rough-in support for one-pour floor construction. Where two-pour construction is required, Smith No. 0100 series adjustable deep rough-in support may be used. Where furred wall space is not sufficient for the adjustable series, Smith “compact” No. 0400 series may be used.

•Wall Hung Blowout Water Closet Supports – Smith No. 0300 series “adjustable” rough-in support. Where furred wall space is not sufficient for the adjustable series, Smith “compact” No. 0400 series may be used.

•Wall Hung Residential Water Closet Supports Floor-Mount Type – Smith No. 0550F series siphon jet supports with waste fitting and extra heavy cast iron face plate. Combined face plate and closet support shall be securely bolted to floor construction. When back-to-back bowls are specified, use No. 0550FD series.

•Wall Hung Residential Water Closet Supports Stud-Mount Type – Smith No. 0550 series stud-mount siphon jet support with waste fitting and adjustable steel face plate with steel reinforcing strap of design which transmits all top fixture stud-bolt loading to interior wall construction and bottom fixture stud-bolt loading to sole plate. When back-to-back bowls are specified, use No. 0550D series.

•Floor Mounted Back Outlet Water Closet Fittings – Smith No. 0200 or 300 adjustable series fixture supports with type No. 2 outlet connection. Where furred wall space is not sufficient for the adjustable series, Smith “compact” No. 0400 series or Smith No. 0670 thru 0680 waste fitting assembly with Type No. 2 closet outlet connection may be used.
