Transitional Housing • With the recession in full swing and unemployment at record levels, more and more people are taking to the streets…to live. This is even being seen in our rural communities.

• County housing officials say they are noting a significant increase in the homeless population.

Four safe transitional houses:• Available to help low-income families get on their feet and gain financial independence• We partner with other local agencies to provide assistance for those we serve• Case Management services provided• Waiting list maintained

Holiday Meals/Christmas

• In 2008, LSSNO sponsored over 50 families for the Holidays who otherwise would not have had a holiday meal.

• Contacts and referrals made from both school liaisons and congregations

• This year we anticipate our need to double due to what we are already seeing as need

• Sponsors needed for this project
