Waltham Forest Parent Forum
WFPF is a friendly, voluntary group of parents and carers of disabled children and young people aged from 0 to 25 in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Our aim is to provide feedback on the development and direction of services for disabled children and young people in the borough to key policy makers and to support families through sharing experience and building networks
What do we do?
• WFPF takes part in local and national consultations regarding disability issues for families with a disabled child
• WFPF provides support for families with disabled children through support groups, training and fun social events
How WFPF is involved in SEND reform
• WFPF members take part in local and national consultations and conferences on SEND reform to ensure the views of Waltham Forest families are heard
• WFPF sends out regular updates on SEND reform by email or newsletter
• WFPF has representation on the borough SEND implementation work streams
