walsh court, trippet lane
TRANSCRIPT
Walsh Court is a former Victorian furniture depository built by famous Sheffield retailer, John Walsh. It is a former three storey warehouse that was built in the early 1900s as a facility to support the Walsh’s retail store.
Approximately 11 years ago, our clients bought the building and sympathetically refurbished it to provide a total of approximately 26,000 sq ft of unique and interesting office accommodation. The building has been fully let now for a number of years, however, one of the tenants has relocated out of Sheffield city centre and once again these stylish and modern offices are now back on the market.
This former Victorian furniture depository is being renovated and will provide high quality, modern open plan office accommodation over the four floors of the building. The building has an inherent flexibility and can provide opportunities from as little as 807 sq ft up to 25,354 sq ft. The suites will be refurbished as they become available. They will be refurbished to provide modern open plan suites, taking sympathetic account of the historic nature of the building.
Walsh Court is also ideally located in the heart of Sheffield city centre with easy access to the public transport modes, public car parking and the retail and leisure circuits of the city centre itself.

Sheffield is one of the leading cities within the north of england and has a population in excess of 500,000. Sheffield has now become a cosmopolitan and vibrant city. Following the demise of the steel industry in the 1970s, Sheffield has been going through a period of renaissance over the last 10 – 15 years. The city now has all the major attributes of a 24/7 city.
The immediate surrounding area of Trippet lane has been transformed over recent years. We have seen a number of large residential schemes being undertaken on Trippet lane, in addition to new bars and restaurants. in the area slightly outside of this we have the city centre itself has transformed drastically. This transformation will continue over the next 5 – 10 years with key large scale development projects taking place. We have already seen the development of the heart of the city scheme which has undoubtedly given the city centre a sense of identity. The Sevenstone retail scheme combined with The moor will undoubtedly make Sheffield one of the leading retail and leisure capitals of the north of england.
