38 years visiting this fabulous Christmas Venue. So once again why not join
us for this chance to enjoy the most popular English Christmas show of all
time. Each show is a pageant of spectacle and colour – the music a seamless
transition from an up-beat dance routine to a choral rendition of a
Christmas carol, a show which would not be out of place in any of London’s
West End theatres. The dazzling scenery is the backdrop to a blend of
exciting Christmas entertainment with carols, flamboyant dancers, beautiful
costumes, outstanding music and singing from a cast of over one hundred!
At Thursford, traditional farm buildings have been transformed into a small
village of gift shops with a touch of Charles Dickens’ England; The Christmas
Shop, The Stable Shop and The Pantry/Sweet Shop are all famous for their
unique gifts and festive treats which perfectly reflect this special time of
year.
We are offering our 2 day holiday to this wonderful event – to include show
ticket, half board in local hotel, together with a visit to the world renown
Caithness Crystal factory where we will see a demonstration of glassmaking
and have a chance to buy those last Christmas presents at a fraction of the
high street prices. On the way home, to make our tour complete we will call
at one of our ever popular venues.

Batsford Arboretum is home to a unique
collection of some of the world’s most
beautiful and rare trees, shrubs and
bamboos. It was started in the late
1800’s by Lord Redesdale – grandfather
to the infamous Mitford sisters, who
dedicated his life to creating a wild
garden, heavily influenced by his time
working in the Far East. His passion was
shared by the 2nd Lord Dulverton who
continued his work after inheriting the
estate in 1956. Since his death in 1992,
the arboretum has been looked after by
a charitable trust.
Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal
market towns in the northern Cotswolds
situated on the Fosse Way and now
served by the main line railway from
London Paddington. It grew up in the
thirteenth century as a market town with
a wide main street, narrow burgage plots
and back lanes. There still is a busy
Tuesday market with about 200 stalls
attracting many visitors.
