Information For Maintain Different Indoor Fountain Materials

There are a variety of materials your fountain may or may not be built with. Some of you may have a

wall fountain with a stone face, while others of you may have installed a glass faced hanging waterfall.

Depending upon the actual materials you have selected, the maintenance process may differ. For

example if you are setting up one of our stone or marble water walls, you will need to chisel some of the

rough, natural edges to create a steadier waterfall. Some of the most typical issues with a wall water

feature installation are listed below, followed by the most practical solutions;

Issue #1 – Water is not flowing evenly down the surface of the fountain face.

Solution – This issue is commonplace and can be solved very simply. The surface of the stone, glass, or

marble you have, may or may not be fully lubricated enough to ensure proper flow. First, start by

applying the included Fountec cleaning material to the fountain face and trying to run the waterfall

again. If the problem persists you will need to train the fountain with your fingertips. Take your index

and middle digits and run them along the top edge of your wall fountain. Slowly train the water across

the edge, until it reaches the outermost edge, and continue doing so until the stone is completely wet.

Issue#2 The wall water fountain pump is running but air is in the line.

Solution – First of all, do not worry, you have not ruined anything and this is not an issue you cannot

recover from. Start by, turning off the water feature. Wait until the water feature pump evacuates air

from the line. If necessary you can prime the line by filling with water to remove any air that may still be

inside of it. If still not flowing evenly, unplug and re-plug the pump a few times to assist in bleeding air

out of the line.

Issue#3 - The wall water feature pump pressure is too low.

Solution - This problem is occurring because you have not properly adjusted the flow valve on the back

side of your reservoir. The flow valve is a black disc located on the top of the pump. Turn valve located

between pump and inlet hose until water flows evenly down the panel.

Issue#4 –You are noticing a thin invisible water soluble protective film from factory.

Solution – This is totally normal. Shipping your fountain is dangerous and we do not want anything to

damage the surface of your glass while it is in transit. Because of this we have place a thin film that

protects the face during transport. To solve the problem start with the fountain running, you can take a

scrubber sponge (like you use in the kitchen to clean dishes) and clean the glass. Remove the header and

start at the top, working your way down until full coverage is achieved. Remove the rock tray to help

minimize splashing outside the fountain.

Issue#5 – Your indoor wall fountain may be un-level.

Solution - Make sure your waterfall is always kept level. For floor fountains you can try using a shim to

help level the fountain. Be sure to check right to left level as well as front to back. A panel that is leaning

either forward or back will not operate properly. On wall fountains make sure the mounting bracket was

level when installed. If there is a measurable difference from one end of the bracket to the other you

will want to remove the bracket and reinstall it, making certain it is level. If the difference is only a

minute, a shim or tiny wedge can be placed on the lower end of the bracket.

Issue#6 - Blockage in water distribution bar which is located above the top fountain panel.

Solution - Remove the distribution bar by carefully twisting the bar back and forth until it disconnects

from the PVC elbow. Thoroughly clean the distribution bar and reinsert into the PVC elbow. You can use

a pin, pipe cleaner or small wire to clean any debris from the holes in the manifold distribution bar. A

long, narrow brush may also be used to clean the inside of the pipe, CLR or any other.
