    Be one of the first sixty participants to register at the Durr Branch and receive; Walktober T-Shirt! (Sizes and Quantities are limited.),Frisbees (donated by the City of Independence), and Pedometers (donated by Clever Crazes for Kids).

    Mark off your dates as you walk your way through Walktober. Walk with a group or on your own!

    Participants who turn in their Walktober logs at the Durr Branch will be eligible for theGrand Drawing! Logs must be turned in before closing on November 4.

    Walktober logs will drawn at random for additional prize packages including;Gift cards donated by the Durr Branch of the Kenton County LibraryOne Month Memberships at Curves, Independence

    *Always check with your doctor before beginning any exercise program.*If youre new to walking for exercise, build up your time slowly. This

    schedule has suggested times for absolute beginners. Feel free to adjustfor your ability.*Dont forget to warm-up and cool-down.*Wear proper shoes and comfortable clothing.*Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! *Always walk with good posture.

    *Arm motion helps burn calories! Bend your elbows 90 degrees.*Walking is a great stress reliever.*Have fun and make walking a family event.*Find or start a local walking club.*Use a walking log such as www.mapmywalk.com to track your progress.

    *Walk with a friend and keep each other motivated. (Dogs are friends!)
