Coca-Cola Partnership

• With funding from the Coca-Cola Foundation, Walk Georgia is being reworked as follows:– Upgrades to website– Hiring of dedicated IT staff – Allowing for year round access to logging – Building customized programs for organizations,

businesses and schools – Formalizing collaboration with Piedmont Hospital,

ACCG, Georgia SHAPE (Dept. of Comm. Health)

• Identify issue relevant to entire population: Georgia wellness• Create program for simultaneous statewide delivery• Engage communities• Change sedentary lifestyles• Reduce rates of preventable disease• Increase participation to 100,000 in three years• Decrease number of physically inactive people in each Georgia county by 5 percent in three years
