Materials: song video
Farm animals toys or farm animals flashcards
Coloured pencils
Worksheets ( activities 1& 2, animals booklet)
STEP1: Introduce the name of the animals either with toys or with flashcards. Pupils
listen and repeat.
STEP 2: The pupils close their eyes , the teacher removes one toy/card and the pupilstry to figure out which one’s missing. The teacher can also introduce ‘What’s this?’ ‘It’sa …’ depending on the level.
STEP 3: The pupils watch the video to get a general idea
STEP 4: The pupils watch the video and do activity 1. Alternatively, the teacher can
use it as a listening activity: he/she pauses the song after each animal and the pupilsmatch the animal they hear to the word and colour.
STEP 5: The pupils watch the video and do activity 2. Alternatively, the teacher canuse it as a listening activity: he/she pauses the song after each animal voice and thepupils match the animal they hear to the word and colour.
STEP 6: The pupils revise the animals’ voices while the teacher points to each animal either on the worksheet, the flashcards or the realia.

STEP 7: The pupils write the animals’ names and voices and then colour the ‘farmanimals’ booklet. Finally, they have fun with the word search game.
STEP 8: Guessing game: A pupil makes an animal ’s voice and the class guesses which
one it is.
