The CPE-approved Student Contract is a legal contract that binds both School of Music and the Arts
Pte Ltd and the student that embodies the following mandatory requirements:
STANDARD STUDENT CONTRACT
1. Clear definition of course details – course title, pre-requisites, qualification awarded, course
duration
2. Full disclosure of all costs for course fees and miscellaneous fees
3. Commitment to Fee Protection Scheme (School of Music and the Arts Pte Ltd has adopted the
LONPAC Insurance BHD Insurance scheme for its students)
4. Clear definition of refund policies
Students may request for a copy of the PEI-Student Contract from School of Music and the Arts Pte
Ltd ([email protected]) or view it on the CPE website (www.ssg.gov.sg)
Each enrolled student of the School will sign two copies of the standard Student Contract, where
one copy will be given to the student and the other copy will be kept by the School.
Each Student Contract is meant for admission to one course only and individual student contracts
will be entered with each student admitted into the courses offered.
Any amendments made to the Student Contract must be accompanied with an acknowledgement
signatory by both the school staff and student.
If a student wishes to repeat a module, a new Student Contract (or addendum) has to be issued.
The execution of the Student Contract shall be in accordance with the Process section of the manual:
Student Contract.
STANDARD STUDENT CONTRACT
The terms and conditions of the contract are to be explained to each student and it is the
responsibility of the school to ensure that each student fully understands them.
Both the student and the school should acknowledge any amendments made to the contract.
The School shall ensure that a copy of the Student Contract is made available for prospective
students on the School’s Website.
If a student wishes to repeat a module, a new Student Contract (or addendum) has to be issued.
Note: CPE’s Standard PEI-Student Contract should be adopted for all students recruited.
STANDARD STUDENT CONTRACT
School of Music and the Arts Pte Ltd will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of 7 working
days from the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties. The student will be refunded
the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a
written notice of withdrawal to the School of Music and the Arts Pte Ltd within the cooling-off
period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

The Diploma in Music Performance aims to equip students and aspiring musicians with the necessary
foundational knowledge and competencies in music performance. The modules within the course help
lay the groundwork for their development into critical reflective musicians by covering the following key
areas: performance, theory, music history and musicianship. Students will also be equipped with the
necessary business and entrepreneurial skill sets to pursue successful careers in the contemporary
music industry.

The Diploma in Music Production and Engineering aims to fully equip students with the fundamental
knowledge and competencies to pursue music production and engineering as a career in Singapore’s
music industry. The modules within the course provides a study into the technical and creative steps in

content using the relevant technologies and workflows.

FEES PAYABLE
Breakdown of all fees (including any non-refundable fees and discounts/rebates given) will be
reflected on the School’s marketing collaterals and the standard Student Contract.
The School will accept the following payment modes: Cash, Nets, Mall Voucher, Credit Card,
Telegraphic Transfer, Internet Banking, PayNow and Cheque (made payable to: School of Music and the
Arts Pte Ltd.)
Application fees shall be collected upon receipt of the student application.
Any other fees shall only be collected upon execution of the standard Student Contract. The School
shall not collect any fees exceeding the fee collection cap stated in the Student Contract.
All payments received by the School shall be accompanied with a receipt, and records of each payment
must be continuously maintained.
