Bogotá, Colombia´s Capital, is one of the high-est capital cities in South America; located in the eastern cordillera of the Andean Moun-tains, it stands approximately 8700 feet above sea level and has a population of almost 8 million inhabitants. The department of Boyacá is known for its mountains and for its rural tourism. It is lo-cated in the Central Zone of Colombia, near the capital city of Bogotá (3 hours by car). The department is also known for its climate variety; temperatures range from 0° Celsius (32 Fahrenheit) at El Cocuy snow peak, to 35° Celsius (96° Fahrenheit).

San GilYou will lodge in Barichara and our private vehicle will take you to San Gil for you to enjoy the extreme sports paradise in Colombia. Our vehicle will drop you off at your hotel whenever you are done with your activities. All of these activitiesareperformedwithcertifiedoperatorsinSanGil

This sport can be practiced in the Fonce River, with up to level III rapids (beginners), or in the Chicamocha River where you can enjoy the view of the canyon with up to level IV rapids (experienced) or in the Suarez River with up to level IV+ (very experienced ).

This activity can be done in Barichara where you will ride through old trenches called Caminos Reales (Royal Paths) and rural areas. In the San Gil area you can also enjoy horseback riding in a variety of trenches.

Visit The Indian Cave which has an internal river and a place where you can dive from 6 meters high in the dark. Other caves like La Antigua, La del Yeso and La de la Vaca are also nice and strange in their own way. In someofthemyouwillfindBatsandinsects.

Drive to the town of Curití, and then take an ecological walk to reach the top of a water fall. Practice an 80 mts high rappel with a beautiful view of the Santander Mountains.

Depending on the season, Paragliding can be done in the San Gil area, which provides a great view of the Guanenta s valley.

One of the best spots in the country to practice this sport is La Mesa de Ruitoque, very close to Bucaramanga. This place in particular, allows taking off and landing in the same place and provides a beautiful view of Bucaramanga.

Cartagena is the main tourist attraction in Co-lombia, famous for its beautiful and well main-tained walled city, built by the Spaniards back in the 1700´s. Its climate is humid and the average temperature during the year is 30° Celsius (86° Fahrenheit), but the nights are usually accompa-nied with a calm ocean breeze that makes walking around town a perfect way to spend the evening.

Cartagena is located in the Caribbean Coast of Colombia, in the northern region of the coun-try. It is the most visited city in Colombia after Bogotá and Medellin. Its magical environment and beautiful architecture makes it a wonderful destination to visit.

San Andrés & Providencia is one of the 32 de-partments in Colombia. It consists of two island groups about 775 km (480 miles) northwest of Colombia, 220 km (140 miles) from the coast of Nicaragua, and eight outlying banks and reefs. The Coffee Region is formed by the departments of Quindío, Caldas and Risaralda. They are among the smallest departments in Colombia. The combined population is 2,291,195 inhabitants. The Eastern Plains stretch through several depart-ments in Colombia (Arauca, Casanare, Vichada, Guainía and Meta), and make up over a quarter of Colombia’s land mass. They are composed of a very low population density but immense biodiversity.

The Eastern Plains are home to the Coleo Festival in which Colombian cowboys show their skills as horse and cattle riders. It’s an important part of the local culture, locals practice Joropo, the most well known musical rhythm of the area. Due to the low altitude and for being close to the Ecuador, the weather can be rainy or dry depending on the season. During the dry season temperatures can rise above 30°C (86°F).

Caño CristalesCaño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Sierra de la Macarena, in the department of Meta. Because Colombia is crossed by The Andes Mountains, divided in three cordilleras (Western, Central and East-ern) there are several places to practice Mountaineering. The highest ones are Sierra del Cocuy with 5.330 mts. (17.486 ft.) above sea level in the Eastern range, EL Ruiz Snow Peak with 5.400 mts. (17.716 ft.) above sea level, and Tolima Snow Peak with 5.321 mts. (17.457 ft.) above sea level, within El Parque Nacional de Los Neva-dos (National Snow Peaks Parks) in the Central Range; and the highest ones in the independent system of La Si-erra Nevada de Santa Marta, the Bolivar and Colon Peaks with 5.775 mts (18.946 ft.) above sea level.
