1.INDIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY
It was established in 1920. it has a network of over 400 branches all over the India. It has been executing programmes for the promotion of health, prevention of disease and mitigation of suffering among the people.

1. WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
Headquarter is in Geneva, Switzerland. Came in to force on 7 April 1948. which is celebrated every year as “ World Health Day”.
OBJECTIVES1. The objective of W.H.O. is “the attainment by all
peoples of the highest level of health.2. The main social target of WHO was “ attainment by

its activity in 1913. its purpose is to promote the well being of mankind throughout the world. It has been associated with several medical and public health programme in India.
The all India institute of hygiene and public health at Calcutta and the virus research institute at Poona were established with the aid from Rockefller foundation.
