Newsletter has successfully completed 12 years and enriched you all with insights within and outside REIL families and the Company. We present Volume 13, Issue 1 which is redesigned and reimagined to make it more interesting, and seek your guidance in the endeavour.
During the years, the Company's focus has always been on taking unique measures like larger territorial footprint, wider customer base, more high-value projects, standardization, resource optimization, multiple responsive vendor chain to name a few, while exploring the new business areas.
This year too, we aim to work in line with missions and government's new initiatives like Go-cashless, GST implementation while exploiting IT for transparent and efficient operations.

thSCOPE organized 8 Public Sector Day Celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, to commemorate the significant contributions of the Public Sector to the economy. On this auspicious occasion, Hon'ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee presented the SCOPE Award to Shri A.K. Jain, MD REIL, for Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to the Public Sector Management – Individual Leadership Category Mini Ratna-I & II and SCOPE Meritorious Award 2014-15' for the Company REIL in 'Research, Innovation and Technology Development' category.
The award function was graced by Shri Anant G. The Company effectively shared its CSR vision in the conference and
exhibited its CSR work and CSR models developed for other PSUs during st1 CSR FAIR 2017 organized by Department of Public Enterprises,
Government of India, at New Delhi from 04.05.2017 to 06.05.2017.
Hon'ble Union Minister for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises,
Shri Anant G. Geete, lighted the lamp and inaugurated the CSR Fair on
04.05.2017 graced by Additional Secretary (DPE), Shri Madhukar Gupta,
and MD REIL Shri A.K Jain. Hon'ble Minister MOHI also inaugurated
REIL stall and released brochure on 'CSR' covering REIL's activities.
MD REIL also addressed the session and shared his presentation & views
on “CSR for Drinking Water and Sanitation for positioning India as
Global Leader”.
MoU 2017-18 Annual Address
MD REIL signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the year 2017-18 with Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, GoI
On the eve of closing of FY 2016-17, the head of all the departments shared the performance, experiences, achievements, challenges faced, innovations and way forward through presentations, in the respective areas of business.
Managing Director addressed the employees on the Company's performance in the last fiscal year and briefed about the future plans of the Company.
It was followed by an interactive session with employees wherein they took keen interest and shared their business aspects, ideas, future business vision etc.

Business Highlights
Dairy Electronics
Major orders for DPMCU/GPRS
DPMCU and AMCU have been
received, from milk cooperative
unions of Punjab, Haryana,
Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan and
Andhra Pradesh during the quarter.
The Dairy Business contributed
large size order booking for
deployment of DPMCUs and VTS
in 37 districts of Uttar Pradesh and
is gearing up to roll out the large
size project.
The installation of 1500 DPMCU
with Milk Analyzer at Dairy
Cooperative Societies in Bihar is
completed by adoption of double
axis based payment system for the
first time. This will enhance the
transparency and ensure fair
payment enabling farmers to
improve quality and better
income. This project is benefitting
approximately 75,000 beneficiaries
at village level in Bihar.
The Electronic Milk Adulteration
Tester (EMAT) is gaining
popularity through various testing
drives organized in mobile vans and
through its expanded reach in Milk
Federations throughout the country.
The division has also received
orders for its regular products such
as EMTs, Auto EMT and DPMCU,
AMCU systems that will benefit
9,400 beneficiaries in villages of
Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat
and Madhya Pradesh etc.
Renewable Energy
nd On the occasion of 2 anniversary
of Smart City Mission of
Government of India, 12 Mega
Projects including 2 Roof Top
Solar Power plants of 100 kWp and
950 kWp capacity were installed by
REIL, at
offices and Rajasthan University
Campus, were launched by Hon'ble
Minister Autonomous Bodies,
Urban Development & Housing at
Smart City Limited Jaipur.
Under Rooftop Solar scheme with
net-metering, the Company
received orders and executed
various rooftop solar projects in
educational institutes in Kota,
Alwar and Jaipur.
The Company in its role as
Expert CPSE and Project
Management Consultant
(PMC) for Grid Connected
Rooftop Solar Projects, signed
an MoU with ONGC for
installation of Rooftop solar on
their office buildings throughout
the Country. To address the power
needs of rural households in Bihar,
1 kWp SPV Power Packs have also
been deployed during the quarter.
Under PSU synergy, variety of
SPV applications including SPV
Power packs at Primary Health
Centers in Rajasthan and LED
Street Lighting systems have been
deployed in far flung areas of Uttar
Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab
and Rajasthan, thus ensuring
safety and security in these areas
and extended night life and
business hours contributing to the
socio-economic growth of rural
masses.

Nation One Tax Reform :
GST IMPLEMENTATION
In view of GST implementation
from July 2017 onwards, the
Company has taken necessary
steps for becoming GST ready and
has held various training sessions/
interactive sessions for employees,
vendors & other stakeholders with
team of Excise/ ServiceTax / GST
consultant and FCA(s) practicing
Chartered Accountant in the field
of GST.
A “WhatsApp Group” is set-up to
rectify the queries/questions
related with GST. All the related
officers/staff of the company are
members of this group and can
raise their queries in the group for
necessary resolutions.
The Company has upgraded its IT
infrastructute for smooth working
in GST environment.
The Company has obtained GSTIN
and hosted details on website and
also sent to all the agencies
providing services, which includes
internet, telecommunication,
insurance and contract service
provider etc. so as to avail credit in
the GST regime. It is regularly
circulating the updates of GST laws
to various process owners.

Shri A. K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL Jaipur as a Key speaker addressed the inaugural session-'Solar Business Opportunities & Challenges' organized by ASSOCHAM at Hotel Four Point Sheraton, Jaipur on 20.04.2017. He accentuated the India's Solar Potential in upcoming years mentioning the importance of International Solar Alliance (ISA) for getting opportunities not only in the country but worldwide.
SOLAR TECH SUMMIT
SOLAR ROOFSShri A.K. Jain, MD REIL delivered the key note address in the inaugural session - "Solar Roofs-A Pan India Business series for Industrial, Commercial & Residential Roofs" co-organized by REIL and RRECL & supported by MNRE and SECI held on 14.06.2017 at Hotel Hilton, Jaipur. He emphasized on the need of conducive environment which can enhance the Rooftop Solar capacity and make it sustainable e.g. through state policies etc as the Development of Storage and Single window clearance from DISCOMs.
General Manager (Works) also made a presentation on Company's outreach in Rooftop Solar Projects particularly the role of REIL as expert CPSE in Rooftop Solar Projects.
INDIA SOLAR WEEKMD REIL as Chief Guest at Solar Leadership Award Presentation ceremony held on 23.06.2017, presented awards and recognized outstanding business leaders from Industry and Government in India Solar Week 2017- India's largest utility scale solar industry event, organized by Solar Quarter.
MD REIL as a lead speaker addressed the session- “State of the Sector: Targets, Roadmap and Challenges” during One mega event, at Pragati Maidan, organized by India Trade Promotion Organization, at Delhi on 10.05.2017. He emphasized the need to standardize the Solar products and importance of storage in the solar projects, which are the big issues of concern in the country to achieve the goal of 100 GW by 2022.
ONE MEGA EVENT
ndShri A.K. Jain delivered the key note address, at 2 INDIA PSU IT Forum 2017, organized by GOVERNANCE NOW & supported by SCOPE, held on 24.05.2017 at Hotel THE IMPERIAL, New Delhi. He stressed that use of IT & other technology being an environmentally-benign and economically-viable option will help to take forward the vision of GoI's “Digital India” for better transparency.
