Bob Martinek
Thanks again to Brad Altland for clearing the sidewalks of snow on Middle road and Poole Ave During the Easter break of the Nursery school we will be replacing the last metal door in the fellowship hall. The spring cleanup will be scheduled after Easter since the weather has not warmed up. The dates and times will be published in the weekly bulletin and by E-mail. The roof of the church has been leaking again every time it snows. It does not leak when it rains. We will look into this as soon as the weather breaks. The girl and boys bathrooms in the new wing will be getting the first coat of paint and then during the summer they will get some upgrades before the final coat of paint. The lawn mowing schedule is just about finished. So far we have not lost anyone so most people will be mowing twice. We have to thank those people who do not go to our church for filling in.. GARDEN CLUB Spring is here and flower planting time will be here in a month. We need two additional people for planting and weeding. We have three volunteers but need two more so that no one will be over-burdened. See Bob Martinek if you are interested.

Psalm 146:6-8 (NIV) He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them he remains faithful forever. He upholds the
cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up
those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.
MISSIONS
GOATS! We had a good response for the donations to
fund goats for people living in poverty and were happy
to raise funds for three goats. The goats will really
contribute to to the finances of three families and
improve their lot. Thank you.
CHICKENS! Since we were able to supply the families
with goats we ask you to help some more families by
giving to our chicken fund. A flock of chickens and it's
eggs will go a long way to help feed and provide extra
money for a destitute family. Please remember to write
chickens on the envelope.
MORT'S MISSION Because of the bitter, snowy
weather Mort hasn't been able to get to the city and asks
you to hold onto your clothing donations for a while.
KMFP Pasta, rice, cereals and soups always run out
fast. But all food is certainly appreciated. The pantry is
helping to feed 250 families each month.
DIMLA BHOI Pennies go a long way. It is wonderful to
know that your gift of coins is keeping this girl in school
and she will be able to contribute when it is her turn.
Thanks for caring and sharing!!!

A time for prayer
God of compassion, bless us and those we love, our
friends and families, that, drawing close to you, we
may be drawn closer to each other, through Jesus
Christ, our Lord. Amen. Let us pray especially for
those we lift to you by name:
Alice Gottlieb, Charlie Russo, Susan And Barry
Cutler, Pastor Dey, Stanley Reid, MaryAnn Martinek,
Rev. Bob Bender, Pat Cutler, Dan Gervasio Jr.
,Schaeffner Family, Marguerite Hazzard., Frances
Hinterleter, Wilma Flagg,, Pastor Brunemeyer and
Mark Vitollo,, Adele (Lucy Perez’s sister)
Please provide comfort and strength for all our
friends and family living through their grief and all
challenges that come when our hearts are broken.
God we call to you for all the unnamed who face
issues of health, addictions, violence and the many
issues of unstable mental health. Hear our prayer for
families and friends who struggle with crisis; who
struggle with poverty – poverty of resources; poverty
of spirit; poverty of friendship; poverty of hope. We
lift our hearts for all people living in oppression and
strife in the entire world, we pray for you, dear,
gracious Lord, to hear the cries of your people.

Matthew 5:13-15 Be Salt and Light“ You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no
longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be
hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Stewardship
November 11th we celebrated together in the
aftermath of Sandy. It was also commitment Sunday.
This is the day that we, as Christians, consider what
we can do to help people, our community and our
church. I know in these modern times that there are
many things pulling at us for attention.
At times we all need to detach ourselves from these
distractions and think about what is important to you
and makes you happy. As for me Sunday, when I
come to church, is when I have that time to think. I
don’t mind talking to anyone here at Faith because
that is what helps me to realize what is important.
Our community of believers! A simple thing but when
you think about it, there is a deeper meaning.
Think about what Faith does for you and consider
what you can give to Faith be Time, Talent or Tithes.
There is never enough of any of these but what is
really important to you?
