This culinary tour of delight begins at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets are re- quired. The event is deemed as one of White County’s most anticipated nights of the year. Not only is the “Taste of the Town” a great fundraiser for the Chamber, it also gives the many eating establishments and local wineries great expo- sure. We have 27 eating estab- lishments and wineries that will be participating and providing samples of their finest signature items. This year’s theme is “Black & White Masquerade.” Participants will enjoy a formal dance demonstration, and Terry Lee and the GT’s band will be on hand for dancing as the evening continues following the dining portion of the evening. You don’t want to miss this evening full of fun and entertainment while experiencing the best cuisine this area has to offer. You may contact the Chamber office at 706-865-5356 or drop by the office, located at 122 N. Main St. Cleveland, to check on ticket avail- ability. Tickets are $50 per person. Eggstravaganza Saturday, March 28, at BabyLand This year’s Eggstravaganza egg hunt will have a record number of 30,000 eggs to be found on the grounds of BabyLand General Hospital beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Landen Frankum enjoys his first egg hunt at BabyLand during last year’s event. The 27th Annual Magi- cal Easter Eggstravaganza, the Easter event of the year, is scheduled for Saturday, March 28. The White Coun- ty Chamber of Commerce, the City of Cleveland and BabyLand General Hospital all work in a cooperative effort to plan this event. Not only does it give the community a wonderful Easter and spring activity, it also brings visitors to the area. For children 10 years of age and younger, the Easter egg hunt is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. sharp on the front lawn of BabyLand General Hospital. The egg hunt area will be divided off for children ages 0-5 and 6-10, with a record number of 30,000 eggs to be found. Easter parade through downtown Cleveland The Eggstraordinary Eggstravaganza Parade will make its way through downtown Cleveland begin- ning at 11 a.m. The Cabbage Patch Kids will lead the way along with a variety of decora- tive floats, antique vehicles and more. Trophies will be awarded in the follow- ing three categories: Best in Parade Theme, Best in Creativity and Best in Originality. The White County Chamber of Commerce is taking applications for those interested in participating. The registration fee is only $20 per group. Call 706- 865-5356 or download the application at www.white- countychamber.org. Breakfast with the Easter bunny Make your reservations now for breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Cabbage Patch Kids. The breakfast will be held in the BabyLand Crys- tal Ballroom beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 28. Tickets are $10 per per- son, but you must reserve your seat by calling Baby- Land at 706-865-2171. Professional pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available throughout the day for $10 each. Easter bonnet contest Later in the afternoon, beginning at 3 p.m., you will want to make sure to get your Easter bonnets out and enter in the contest to win some great prizes. Register your business for participation in the White County Business Showcase to be held at Yonah Bowl & Skate in Cleveland on Thursday, May 21, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Business Showcase will be in lieu of the Chamber’s monthly Business After Hours meeting for maximum exposure. The fee for Chamber members is $125 for a 10x7 space. Sublet- ting/sharing is permitted among Chamber members. Non-member fee is $325 for a 10x7 space, of which $200 will include member- ship to the White County Chamber of Commerce for businesses with 1-5 employees. Tables and table- cloths will be provided. Forms and fees are due by Friday, April 24. Applications received after April 24 will be charged a $25 administration fee. Space is limited, so sign up now. Each exhibitor is asked to donate a door prize to be given away during the event. In addition, exhibitors may provide door prizes at their booths to be given away at their discretion. In this role, Adam is respon- sible for providing leadership in customer service, engineer- ing, sales, and community development. Adam began his career with Georgia Power in their profes- sional development program in 2005, before moving into vari- ous engineering and financial management roles at Georgia Power. In the community, Adam serves on the White County Chamber economic develop- ment committee and is also a member of the White County Rotary Club. He also serves on the Lumpkin youth leadership steering committee. Prior to moving to the mountains, Adam served as chairman of the Cobb Cham- ber young professionals group, served on the Cobb Chamber board of directors, and served on the United Way young professional leaders advisory board. He also received the 2014 Cobb chairman’s leadership award and was named one of the Top 20 rising leaders under 40 in Cobb County by the Marietta Daily Journal. Adam and his wife, Sarah, have two children, Brooklyn and Luke, and enjoy being in the outdoors.
